Your Last Ten

.
The insurance companies have reported that over 50% of a person's lifetime medical bills are spent during the last ten days of their life. And at today's costs, an average of $100,000.00 is spent to prolong it for just 10 days.

Insurance companies say that this is done whether or not the medical treatment offers any promise of recovery, or a return to a normal life, regardless of your age within the last 10 days. Doctors claim that they are pressed to take what ever means necessary to prolong life because of the threat of lawsuits from family members. It seems that is only what the doctors are driven by.

The figure would applies whether you have private insurance, Medicare, or any socialized medical program that the Long Legged MacDaddy and his friends might force upon all Americans.

So, here is the Thought Dock Medical Plan: Those people that really don't want their life to be extended during those final ten days, could simply opt out by signing an agreement. That would reduce the medical costs in the last ten days by $100k. In return, a person would receive 50% of that in cash ($50k) at the time they sign off on the life extending medical. The other $50k could be applied to the insurance premiums, thus reducing them as well.

Think about it. With your reduced insurance premiums, you would have a better month to month lifestyle. And the $50k cash could be used however you see fit. Perhaps a trip around the world trip while you are in your health 40's. Or it could mean that brand new diesel Silverado you've always dreamed about. Or just pass it on to your children as a start on their new house. Or just give away anonymously.

Wow!! The Thought Dock has been rebuilt and is again in tune. Don't you feel it! Like any motor in tune, it performs at its best. Feel it?.
