In Those Days, I don't think I ever heard the term "Portal." The only time I remember anything like a portal was while watching sci-fi movies like Time Machine and Star Trek where they had black holes and transport machines to take you somewhere else. I guess those were portals, but they were never called that.
Now I understand better what a portal is and just how they work. I've also learned that at times, the use of a portal can be very, very, scary. Especially if you are not proficient in their use.
As an example, the Thought Dock is my portal to Knowledge and Wisdom. Now, I never really leave the Thought Dock like what the Time Machine did. It's more like a magical funnel that channels me with information from all over the "Out There."
Now, as the Doctor of Thought and Wisdom (DTW), I sort through all the information from out there, interpret it accordingly. Then, I filter out the crap, and pass along the most important stuff, which is Wisdom. So, in a sense, this blog is your portal to becoming wise. Respect it and it will serve you well.
It's not easy being the DTW, because Followers can't always appreciate, or even understand what I have come to be. Not all Wisdom pleases everyone. Some get offended, or can't believe the Wisdom I pass on, and take it out on me. I forgive them as they don't understand the labor intensive job it is to sort through everything out there, select the important stuff, and put the proper spin on it before passing it on to them as Wisdom.
Now, others are all ready "In Tune" at the time they first visit the Thought Dock. Still others become in tune after frequent visits, while others will never get it.
But that's OK. The blog is for everyone. I can only do my best. I'm just the messenger. But it must be very frustrating for those that lack the tuning. They turn their back to Wisdom, shout threats, and protest the Wisdom of the Thought Dock, for they do not understand.

I think he's talking about you Geo, ap and hodslopper. Even his bros and sis didn't recognize him!
ReplyDeleteIf any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, Who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.

Grandpa-d, I think I have an impersonator, Hodslopper, is that the I wanna b a man cop from tehachapi....Watch out I think I have a following the the portals too.
ReplyDeletei know who the real hogslopper is and the hodslopper is not 1/2 the slopper hog is. nor do they have the professionalism exhibited by anonymous-ap.
ReplyDeletethat is why this blog is beginning to suck.
geo - At times this blog does suck. Seems it all started when aap refused to believe my mother wore a bonnet. When it was explained that mom wore a bonnet long before she was ever born, aap replied with a subsequent challenging comment while not having the repect to address me properly, and leaving her initials off the anonymous reply. I'm sure you remember that because it was you that sounded the alarm. Since then, she has refused to believe a word I write, while demanding I show proof for everything I say. She has insulted not only me, but my Followers. Go back and read the postings if you care to see for yourself. And now, I have found that she has bad mouthed me on another's blog. And just the other day, her insulting remarks caused me to stop my own grand daughter from visiting this blog. Now that's a shame, but I do have a recourse.

ReplyDeletei think the entire thing has gotten out of hand. what started out as fun has turned out to be quite snarly. on all sides of the fence. it is not only aap....as a matter of fact, for the most part she has called for some sensibility amongst your followers ~ most of whom will not even identify themselves or use mock-up names because none of them want to identify themselves. she has returned on several occaisions to identify her writings. she has never threatened anyone with reporting them to their employers, etc.
ReplyDeletebtw, i would have commented on behalf of anyone else you have taken aim at,,,regardless of their relationship to me or your or anyone else.
geo
ps....mom never wore a bonnet. bonnets were worn by pioneers crossing the prairie. she might have been old, but she was never a pioneer. she wore hats to church, sometimes not even at easter time.
Mom did wear a bonnet. I never threatened her. I simply said, if she needed proof posative of the number of her visits, I'd release it to her Watch Commander. And I did that because she claimed to love catching predators, while spending so much time on duty belittling me. Review the posts again, sista. Although aap was not the only blame, she was the worst. I've warned her before and I'll have no more of it - from anyone. Good Day.
ReplyDeleteDon't be so sensitive... chill out...
ReplyDeleteI hate to even respond, but I feel it's necessary to say that I asked C not to visit this blog recently, and it wasn't simply because of AP's comments. It was because of the whole tone of the whole blog, posts and comments both - the meanspiritedness and rudeness. It's one thing for an adult to read but quite a different for a child. Sorry. :(
ReplyDeleteNo need to apologize. But you make my point. Three months ago, prior to the era of aap, this blog was fun, even for my grand daughter to read.
ReplyDeleteYou also wrote much less inflammatory posts. I'm not saying I agree with everything A wrote, but only that it wasn't just her that changed this blog.
