Since many of you are new to this blog, and some of you haven't review the older posts, I thought I'd just recap a few things. Most of which that follows here should not be news to you, because I've written about it before. But it seems I must say it again.
I designed this blog first and foremost as a means for me to learn who I am, and how I came to be me. Secondly, I made it a place for you and I to discuss our Thoughts. As some of you know, I frequently present sensative subjects in order to promote further discussions through comments. Although I have made remarks regarding the numbers of my followers, I really don't care if anyone reads my blog. Writing is simply a tool that I've found to explore my inner Thoughts.
That said, let me help you understand how things work here. You see, I am the author of this blog, and you have chosen to be a reader. I make the rules and moderate the blog. You are here because you chose to come. But you will remain here only at my discretion. I really do have the authority to do that.
I'll be blunt. If you don't like what you read here, then read somewhere else. If I offend you, then leave if you like. But if you offend me, you will leave. That's the rules folks. You are a guest of my Thought Dock, and that is what it is.
So stick around a bit if you like. I actually enjoy hearing your views if they at least have some basis. Most of your comments have been great. Although I've not always agreed, I've not yet X'd anyone. Or should it be, I've not X'd anyone yet?
That said, I hope you can find this blog interesting and will continue to visit. Enjoy your weekend!

Are you having a bad day. Sometimes our blog is depressing. But with that have a nice day. It shows when you are mad at me or you are missing me because I am at work. Love you.
ReplyDeleteI don't think he's having a bad day; I think he's sensitive in general. Most men are. In fact, most policemen are. Get the man some dip for that chip on his shoulder!
ReplyDeleteJust because I have a differing opinion, doesn't mean I don't respect you. Is it because I didn't say "Uncle". I'm not sure why you're so offended!
By the way, I've read your blog all along. Only recently did I learn I could comment without having my own profile. I certainly have never been offended by anything you said, except maybe when you said my thought "sucked". Even then, I was merely making an observation about a quote you put up. But still, I enjoy getting to know you this way as I value other people's opinions and perspectives and, quite frankly, I don't really know my Uncle much at all.
I'd suggest keeping a diary with a key if you are so easily offended by people sharing their opinions with you. Hello Kitty makes a really cute one. I had a MySpace once and the things I posted (generally opinions) essentially got me fired from a previous employer! I shoulda got a diary. And, that's why (mom) I'm not making a profile.
I don't think that you want to share "our thoughts", unless ours are the same as yours. If you insist on pushing "other" ideas away, X me. Do what makes you feel safe. But, if you do, no hard feelings.

aap-As I said before, I was not offended by your differing opinion. I encourage all thoughts. It is odd to me that you can't see what disappointed me, so I'll tell you. I've never been addressed by name by any of my neices/nephews, some of whom are twice your age. Now that's how you've changed. So, it is what it is. Feel free to continue calling me Dave now that you've crossed that line. I'm over it, so should you be.
ReplyDeletei remember a time when there was an issue when a neice/nephew referred to an "aunt" as an "ant". rather an insipid conversation, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteAnt is to Aunt is to Auntie
ReplyDeleteas
Dave is to David is to Davie.
Sorry, not the same, Sista. And yes, it makes for a insipid conversation as any topic would, to a person that has no interest in it. Although it mattered to me, it does no longer.
I had no idea you had nieces/nephews that are almost 55 years old! That's crazy!

aap - I think your cousin, David, is 47. Sorry, I meant to say "nearly twice your age." Your age, or his age, is not the issue. The issue was: I'm your Uncle. Don't much matter to me anyway, anymore. I'll not comment further on the matter.
