Why?

As we try to recover from the tragedy in Newtown, we scramble to answer the "Whys." And as we do, we will place blame on every thing and everyone but ourselves. But what is most important is to make the proper corrections to prevent another recurrence.

So, why Newtown? It's no different than anywhere else in America, so that means it can happen in your community. You need to believe that. We need to review history in search of answers, which will, in time prevent future incidents of hatred.

Newtown IS America. It is a place much different than it once was. Life in America has been easy for most of us during the past 50 years. Most of us have (at least until recently) obtained adequate wealth, good jobs, and an over abundance of products making our lives even easier. Simply said, we are spoiled and we are raising even more spoiled children to fill our shoes every day.

Let's look to history for answers. But since many of you grew up with the mindset today, you are too young to know what once was. So, I'll tell you.

In Those Days, we didn't have strong unions keeping us exempt from termination even if it was well deserved. We had to be hard working in the factories just to make ends meet. We demanded that our children had respect, ethics, love and the value of life. There was no room for poor behavior or rewards without earning them.

In Those Days, we had guns. Many of them. But there were no mass murders done by disgruntled workers or spoiled young people. We had Hollywood and the news media, But the media wasn't set on glamorizing car chases or shootouts with the cops. And there was no video games promoting rape or murder. Or movies portraying ax slayings.

In Those Days there was mental illness, but 64% of our population, including children, were not on "floaters" to control it. We had drugs and alcohol. But there were strict laws governing their use.

In Those Days we lived in small homes that were filled with love. Not a 3000 sqft. one overstuffed with unused crap stuffed into every crevice.

We are so....... Spoiled!  We throw a tantrum when things don't go our way, and sometimes that tantrum is MURDER.

So, that said, why is America the way we are? There are a number of factors, and all must be changed. But, to put it bluntly, you and I (to some extent) are the answer to the  "Why." We must change that to return to Those Days.

Recently while travelling in the Manor, we stopped at a Rest Area along an Interstate Highway.

If you've never visited one, they are designed to allow drivers to stretch their legs, use restroom facilities, or perhaps even take a nap.  Some rest areas are called "Safety Areas" which is the true reason for their construction.  I'm sure the rest areas are expensive to build and maintain with funding provided by federal taxes on fuel.

At one such stop in Central California, I noticed a sign limiting the length of stay to six hours and stating "No Soliciting - No Overnight Camping."  OK, well I'm good with that because the Federal Fuel taxes I pay are there to make my life easier.

But while walking the dogs through this California rest area, I noticed at least four people soliciting near the walkway to the rest room.  They were holding signs reading, "Stranded.  Need Fuel.  Anything will help."  Then I saw several tents, filled with living necessities pitched beneath the trees next to a picnic table in the rear.  It was obvious the tent camp had been there for at least weeks, and it was equally apparent that the solicitors belonged to the tents.  They were not stranded but camped out and earning their secondary income begging.

Angry that my Federal fuel taxes were funding this new wave of life style, I approached a Highway Patrol Officer whom had come to "rest" and complained about the illigal solicitation and violations of the lenghth of stay rules.  So he replied, "Well there is nothing we can do about that."

A few nights ago, I watched a news clip of 5000 revelers beneath the Space Needle in Seattle and celebrating their success in changing the law in Washington to all pot smoking.  They were smoking thier hemp in public and many were minors who had nothing to do with the ballot measure.  They were in violation of the very law they enacted by smoking the pot in public.

So, where were the Feds?  It is a Federal violation to possess, use, sell, or buy pot.  Is the answer the same?  Nothing can be done about that?  Why is it that those that obey the law have to suffer from those that don't.

Learn to Count; Learn what Counts

.
Well, it is Time. Time for a Season. But this is THE Season! And for me, it is the ONLY Season. The Season about Faith. The Season about Love. The Season about Giving. The Season about sharing. The Season about Family and Friends. And for me, the Season that wraps up the happenings of the year and sets the way for the new.

Start this Season by learning to Count. Count everything and never stop. But equally important, Learn what Counts, and never stop.

For me, my Family Counts, but the inevitable disputes do not. My Friends Count, but my Foes do not. Giving a Gift Counts, but receiving one does not. Shopping for that Special Gift counts, but the Long Lines at the cash register do not. Wishing a Stranger "Merry Christmas" Counts, but the occasional "Happy Holiday" response does not. Smiling Counts, but Stares do not. Standing you Morals Counts, but Accepting one's Evils does not. And Love counts, but Hate does not.

So Count, but Learn what Counts! Merry Christmas.

Tyranny

I apologize for leaving you all wondering why the posts have not been forthwith and leaving you wondering aimlessly without the Thought Dock wisdom to guide and comfort you in your daily lives. But, once again we are on the road across America and the marvel of Wifi is sporadic. I do however, promise to keep the Thought Dock portal open to you as often as I can.

While driving along an open stretch of highway, I couldn't help to recall a statement someone passed on; "Tyranny can only prevail when good people don't do anything."

Think about that for a moment. It's powerful, and it's what I've been harping on for years in this blog. Guess what? It explains the very reason why America is where it is today. At a crossroad. Simply because good Americans didn't do anything to stand against what is wrong. What is immoral. What is evil.

Ever wonder why most Americans will agree that America is the greatest country in the world, but most seem to forget how we got here? Like the Jews in Nazi Germany walked, most knowingly, to their death, good Americans are following.

So, I know that many of you think that I have backed off following the re-election of Obama, and then getting the boot from the blog, but nothing could be further from the truth. You see, it is my goal now to save America from ruin, one citizen at a time. So, the Thought Dock will focus less on politics, but continue to hammer home issues regarding ethics happening everyday in America.

Heave Ho

Some 50 years ago, my parents took me camping for the first time.  We loaded out '60 Chevy Bisquane station wagon with borrowed miltary ice chests, blankets, lanterns, a gas stove, and then strapped a tent to the roof before climbing into what space was left.  With Pop driving, Mom riding shotgun, a baby brother and a little sister, we headed off to the Appalachian mountains from our modest miltary housing in Conneticut.

Even at 10ish, it seemed things were a fiasco.  The tent Pop borrowed from the motor pool was made of very heavy canvass and had huge wood poles that would raise the roof with a heave-ho from all of us.  The kids were stationed outside to hold the walls to the ground while Mome hammered the stakes into the ground with a rock because Pop forgot a hammer.  Actually, I think it was his first time camping too, because it seemed he didn't know much what to do.  Seems my Mom was the mastermind that held things together.

But, I loved every moment of it from catching my first fish on a hand line, to being in charge of pumping up the gas stove and lantern.  And Pop brought his plastic raft with a sail that he had won at his Platoon's anual picnic a few weeks before.  Never did get that sail to work, I guess because we had no idea of how to set a sail.

Anyway, that was how it began.  Since then we tent camped, until my wife discovered the RV's with real toilets and showers that other people had.  Soon it was good bye to the porta-potie and sleeping bags as we progressed (if you call it that)  from tent trailers, to hard side trailers, and all the way up to our Motorized Diesel Pusher.  How 'bout that?

Gone are the blankets, gas lanterns, and sponge baths.  Two bathrooms provide piping hot showers, a kitchen with filtered drinking water, a double sink, microwave, and a stove.  All rounded off with 2 HD televisions and forced air heating and air coditioning.  It's not even called camping anymore, but rather RV Resorting.

Getting the Boot

Judging by the onslaught of inquiries, many of you now know that I got BOOTED!  OK, I admit, I cop out that I got kicked off Blogspot, which provides the opportunity for me to have a blog.  So, I know you just dying to know, "Why?"

Well, I'll tell you.  I really don't know.  Well, the Blogspot Police really didn't tell me.  They could only say that I didn't follow their Rules of Use.  So I read up on the subject and could only find a few No No's.

Like calling President Obama a liar.  Seems that was the thing that put me over the top to get booted.  It's not like I was telling an untruth, but I guess the truth was just too offensive for the Liberals to handle.

Anyway, I'm back now.  And I'm here to stay.  I got spanked, and I've learned my lesson.  I repent.

But, I think I'll get the subject matter of my blogs back to what they were in Those Days where it all began.  Mostly happy times, but some that could cause a tear if you are the mushy, touchy feely type.  But stories that can help build a better life.  Ethics, Religion, Patriotism, and most everything in between.  Back to the days when the readership flourished.  But then again, politics might even sneak in too as I can't be expected to be totally silent on such an important subject.

So anyway, I'm sorry for leaving so many of my Followers in the day this past week.  I know you had no where else to turn and might have found yourself wandering aimlessly without the direction of the Though Dock portal.

When the Takers outweigh the Makers

Congrats Mr. President.  You have kept one campaign promise of 2008 and have successfully transformed America!

America has now gained 17% more Takers than when you took office.  Takers now account for 49% of Americans.  They have learned that entering the welfare system is easier and pays more (when you consider the free medical) than the job they once worked!

As I've blogged before, America is on it's way to Greece.  It can not recover now.  With 49% Takers, combined with a few liberal independents, the Makers can no longer prevail.

In Oregon, every issue on the ballot asking for more social projects, passed.  The majority voted knowingly that these programs would increase taxes.  But the majority (Takers) don't pay taxes.  Oregon has no sales tax, and is funded only by property and income taxes, and Takers have neither a job, or own a home.  I'm sure issues such as these were passed in every state across our nation.

Our Nation?  If you are a successful business person, or are proud enough to work for a living, or once did, if you don't smoke pot, or live in a Gay relationship, you must understand that you are a Maker and are no longer the majority in this Country of Takers.

Greece fell when the Takers rose to 62% of the population, so America is not long to wait.

Send in the Windmills

Obama made his last ditch campaign appearance to the victims of Hurricane Sandy.  Wile visiting the Jersey Shores, he gave warm hugs and comforting words to some that have lost not only their homes, but loved ones as well.  What a guy!

Obama announced that the people of the Shore are in dire need of help and in response he has directed FEMA to remove the "Red Tape" and get assistance to the area.  He ordered that all calls to FEMA be responded to within 15 minutes.  So I ask why does it take an incident of this magnitude to cause FEMA to magically become efficient?  They should have always had returned their calls immediately, even in calm times!  but they never have, and as you see now, they still can't get things done.  FEMA is dysfunctional to say the least.

What a guy, Mr. President!  It would have been nice if your offices would have returned the cries for help coming from our embassy in Lybia in 15 minutes.  It is a disgrace that those people died because of your dysfunctional policies.

"These folks need gasoline immediately," is what you said to the news, and "I'm going to see that they get it."  Well where is it Mr. President?  And why can't the rest of us in the country get some too?

Mr. President, you are a fake, a joke, and a liar.  I would have believed you more if you had just sent them some windmills and solar panels.

Looking South

I have heard that when you are standing at the North Pole, no matter which direction you turn, you can only look south.

I never really thought much about those words until recently when I watched a documentary about the Cuban Missle crisis.  It seems the Russian Communist Party leader, Nikita Kheushchev, told that to President John Kennedy accusing the President of not being able to see any other view but his.  And so the world stood waiting for the End of Days to come.  And so close we were.  And so close we are now.  And now I know what that slogan means.

So true it was that our President's views today are much the same as JFK's some 50 years ago.  Obama has that that same inability to compromise with anyone, even those of his own Party.  His way or no way.  "Tax the rich or I won't agree to any fiscal budget," is what he blusters.  And that has gotten our Country nowhere.

But you know, it's not just Obama.  It is with most of our elected officials that have built a career into thier appointments.  Once they feel comfortable at the top of thier world, they can only look down on use as they refuse to compromise on anything that doesn't serve their personal needs.

And I'm tired of that.  That is not a democracy.  And that is the down turn of American politics.

So. I've said it before, I will not vote to re-elect any senior representive, Republican or other, who has demonstrated that "Looking South" attitude.  Any I encourage you to do the same.  You should already know who these idiots are.  So look up, but not to, them and vote them out.

America's Fault?

What is it that our leadership can't understand? Nearly all of Obama's cabinet is in denial that Islam is an enemy of America.

Hillary Clinton was quick to assert that it was an opinion of a lone American citizen that Muslims around the world to attack our embassies and murder innocent people. Hillary, referring to Islam as, "A great religion," apologized for the disgraceful making of an anti-Muslim film, while distancing our government from the incident.

Obama made several appearances where he blames our American freedoms that allowed the making of the film. In an address before the United Nations, Obama seemed ashamed of those very freedoms guaranteed by our Constitution as he appeared to be ashamed that he was powerless to stop the exercising of individual free speech

And Ms. Rice denied time an time again that the murders of our Ambassadors overseas were not perpetrated by terrorists.

The time has well passed that America stops hugging Muslims. All of Islam is governed by the Quran, which is incompatible with democracy and all other religious faiths. Since the Quran demands the murder of all infidels, it is certainly in itself, a terrorist organization.

It is what it is. And it should be treated accordingly. Where has our moral fiber gone?

Yet

Obama and his clan, can't seem to even use the word terrorism, yet can only apologize for America's Freedom of Speech.

Immediately following the Fort Hood massacre Obama encouraged us not judge the incident as terrorism, yet he labled the arrest of his Black friend by a White cop as racist.

Obama calls to end the death penalty for even the most outrageous of crimes, yet he approves of the murders of innocent unborn children as a means of birth control.

Obama declares he will cause bankruptcy to the entire coal industry, yet he funds billions of dollars to several wind and solar failures.

Obama labels George Zimmerman as a racist bigot, yet he dismisses the charges against Black Panther leaders for voter intimidation.

Obama gets caught on tape making a secret promise to a Soviet official, yet he refuses to meet with our strongest middle east ally, Israel.

Obama pledged transparency in his administration, yet he uses his executive privileges to cover Eric Holder's lies about Fast & Furious.

Obama claims he saved jobs by using our dollars to save GM, yet he refuses to disclose what the auto unions spent to elect him.

Obama claims he is an American, yet he refuses to provide a birth certificate.

We knew all of this four years ago, yet we may re-elect him in spite..

Nobody Noticed

A few days ago we tripped over the Coastal Range into the bigger city to get supplies.  It's our monthly ritual to break-a-way from our tourist/retirement community to shop and enjoy the more enjoyable (if you can call it that) advantages of an inland city such as movie theaters, mega stores. and chain restaurants.

So as we entered the Lowes store to shop for deck lighting, I saw a group of three college aged boys.  These lads were dressed in the standard "Occupy Eugene" dress of soiled and baggy clothes, long hair and pimply faces.

Now it seemed that Nobody Noticed that these pukes were out of place in a place like this.  Having never done a chore at home, or earned a wage of any kind, they knew not the difference between a shovel and a bag of manure.  Perhaps that is why they were lurking near the candy bars stocked near an exit.

As time passed, so they passed by us while we were looking at the decks lights.  Now it seemed that Nobody noticed that they were each carrying several candy bars.  Now who shops for candy bars in a home improvement store anyway?

As we were in line to pay for our purchase, they happened upon us again.  But this time, only one was holding a single candy bar.  Now it seemed that Nobody Noticed.  And as they realized that I was studying them intensely, one told the accomplice holding the lone candy bar that he put his bars back because he didn't have money to pay for them.  Now, how odd was that?

And so I was angered that I was paying for the items they stole.  You see, most stores don't even stop shoplifters any more, but simply build in their losses into the goods we all purchase.

And it seemed that Nobody Noticed that they drove slowly (probably looking for a purse to snatch) through the parking lot in their dirty pile of crap card with bald tires, broken windows and a dragging muffler.  And I was angered that I was also about to pay increased insurance premiums to cover their next hit and run accident.

An hour later and 30 miles toward the coast, we came across a plume of smoke.  And Nobody Noticed that the smoke and fire was caused by that blue buggy those boys were driving that was now fully ablaze along side the road.

And I realized that I would late for dinner and the Presidential debate.  And I realized that 3 US Forrest Service Fire rigs, 2 State Police cars, 1 County ambulance, and two County Fire rigs arrived to safely remove the hazard.  And I realized that later a road crew would come to repair the recently re-paved road and new guard rail.  And I realized that I was again to pay for these individuals that have never worked or contributed a single thing to society.

And I was angered.  But Nobody Noticed.

The Central Oregon Coast weather has been at it's best for the past 6 weeks.  Temps in the high sixties, and mostly clear skies.  Don't get much better than that.

So yesterday, I took advantage of the blue skies and did some yard work.  I really don't like it but it has to get done and I prefer to do it when it is not raining.   And so it began with pulling the Dastardly Dandelion weeds.  Aside from pruning Blackberry bushes they are the pits.  I'm sure most every one has had at least some at some time or another, so you might know what I mean.  Or, perhaps you don't...  So, I'll tell you...

When Dandelions are small, they are quite easily removed with a slight tug if the soil is moist.  But as they get bigger, their roots get deeper and deeper to they point you can't even pry them out, or the roots break off and hide only to return even larger in a few short weeks.

Now, as I was Struggling though this chore, I had a flashback.  It was the shaky, shivering voice of Grandma, just as if she were hovering over today.  I could hear her clear as a bell.  Obviously she was quite certain how mad I was getting with that pesty weed.  It was then I heard her once again, "Now, if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all!"

I must have been about five at the time when I first heard those words, and there have been countless times I've heard them over and over ever since.  My mother said it.  I said it.  And now my kids and their kids are saying it.  I'm quite sure you have even said it yourself!

But, you know now that I'm older and wiser, I don't ever want to hear them again.  Why?  Because it's hogwash.

That's when it seems it all started.  50+ years ago.  You know.  That Touchy-Feely attitude that has grown in America ever since. Political Correctness is what they call it now.  Love your neighbor.  Be kinder and gentler. Have you hugged your kids today?  Make Love not War.  Peace to you Brother.  Accept other's views.  Save the Whales, Hug Trees and respect everyone's views.

Hogwash.... That's the very reason why we are in this position today.  Gay marriages, immoral sex, single parenting, rampant abortion, and a profound loss of ethics for most everyone around.  And it is all because of Granny; the one that me to do nothing to confront or offend anyone.

And so it began.  Sex education placed in schools has led first to condoms in schools and now the Morning After being distributed without parental notification. Drug education has led to more addicts than ever, and now legal marijuana everywhere today.

Equal rights has transformed into Gay marriages, artificial insemination to allow Gays and single parents to raise children, liberal juries have allowed many thugs to walk our streets to prey upon us again.  Hugging our enemies while excepting everything.  No smoking laws, seat belts and calories counting cops has eroded our personal choices in our everyday lives.  And it is all because the words my Grandma passed on to all of us.  Never say anything about anything.

We have ignored those Dandelions for too long.  They should have been suppressed long ago.  Now they are rooted deeply into America and will fight dearly for their grasp in the soil.  Like a weed gone unattended, it is next to impossible to turn things around at this stage.  Who knows what's in store for us now?  Is it too late?  I think so, but I'll never stop confronting the evil I see.

If you are not prepared to stand and fight, then you had better run for your life.

11 Years to Greece

Not too long ago, Greece was a thriving, majestic, beautiful, romantic, peaceful and vibrant country.  It was a leader in Europe following the end of the war.  And it was the newest socialist government to come to power.  A country the world looked to for prosperity.

Not so any more.  Now it is a place where 20 percent of it's population is unemployed.  A place where 70 percent of it's working class is employed by the government, and the rest of it's people are hungry and receive some sort of government assistance.  Every day there seems to be riots in the streets by people demanding government entitlements.  Free food, college education, housing and income.  Greece has changed.

President Obama announced he will "Fundamentally transform America" in his 2008 campaign.  And that has been his only kept promise during his first term in office. But he is not finished yet!

Today America has nearly 9% unemployment, nearly double what it was in 2008.  47 percent of us don't pay any taxes, up significantly from the Bush era.  55% of our workforce in employed by the government in some way, and growing daily  Welfare and Disability are out of control.  People are rioting in our cities. Squatters occupying vacant buildings and parks while crying for more benefits of a socialistic government.  Illegals consuming our resources, Gays rushing from their closets to marry,  Killing unborn children while some parents also murder their young.  More meth heads, more pot smokers (some even carrying G-cards), no driver licence enforcement, run-a-way health care, and amnesty programs while we embrace the Muslim world.  Just as Greece was the moment it crumble into chaos.

America is in a Democratic era.  Democrats support everything that led Greece to it's grave and so we will follow.  With a re-election of Obama, it will more even more toward what Greece is.  With a Democratic leadership elected to continues Obama's transformation efforts, we will be there in 11 years from today.

O God help us.

A foreign perspective of President Obama

As he suffocated to death at the US consulate in Benghazi on the 11th anniversary of the September 11 attacks on the US, did ambassador Christopher Stevens understand why he and his fellow Americans were being murdered?

Chris Stevens arrived in Benghazi at just as Muammar Gaddafi was ousted.  It was apparent then as the rebels with whom he worked included jihadist fighters associated with al-Qa'ida. Their significance became obvious when the rebel forces hoisted the flag of al-Qa'ida over the courthouse in Benghazi to celebrate their victory.

Did Stevens understand what this meant? Perhaps. But his boss, Hillary Clinton, certainly didn't. Following Tuesday's attack on the US consulate in Benghazi, Clinton said, "Today, many Americans are asking - indeed, I asked myself - how could this happen? How could this happen in a country we helped liberate, in a city we helped save from destruction? This question reflects just how complicated and, at times, how confounding the world can be."

Clinton then proclaimed with utter certainty there was nothing to be concerned about. "We must be clear-eyed, even in our grief. This was an attack by a small and savage group, not the people or government of Libya," she said.  Of course, what she failed to mention was that after the rebels felled Gaddafi's regime - with US support - they began imposing Islamic law over the country.

  

And Clinton was not the only senior US official who didn't understand.  The day after the murders, General Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff called pastor Terry Jones in Florida and asked him to withdraw his support for the film he believed Mohammed negatively. Dempsey's belief that a third-rate riff on Mohammed supported by a marginal figure in Florida is the cause of the terrorist attacks on US embassies is not simply shocking. It is devastating.

It means that this senior military officwr is of the opinion that the party to blame for the embassy assaults was an American pastor. That film apparently was released about a year ago and received little notice until last month when a Egyptian television station broadcast it.  If the film had never been created, they would have found another - equally ridiculous - pretext.

And here we come to the nature of the attacks against America that occurred on the 11th anniversary of the September 11 Jihadist attacks.  It is obvious that the rioting that is still taking place makes clear these were not acts of spontaneous rage about an amateur internet movie. They were premeditated.  

And in Egypt, the mob was led by Muhammad al-Zawahiri, the brother of al-Qa'ida chief Ayman al-Zawahiri.  The day before the attacks, al-Qa'ida released a video of Ayman al-Zawahiri in which he called for his followers to attack the US in retribution for the killing in June of his second-in-command Abu Al Yahya al-Libi by a US drone in Pakistan. Zawahiri asked for the strongest act of retribution to be carried out in Libya.

The US's first official response to the assault on its embassy in Cairo came in the form of an embassy Twitter feed apologizing to Muslims for the film.

As for the attack in Libya, it apparently came as no surprise to some US officials on the ground. In an online posting the night before he was killed, US Foreign Service information officer Sean Smith warned of the impending strike. Smith wrote, "Assuming we don't die tonight. We saw one of our 'police' that guard the compound taking pictures."

The co-ordinated, premeditated nature of the attack was self-evident. The assailants were armed with rocket-propelled grenades and machine guns. They knew the location of the secret safe house to which the US consular officials fled. They laid ambush to a marine force sent to rescue the 37 Americans hiding at the safe house. 

Yet Clinton and Dempsey could not fathom why the attack occurred.  Like Dempsey, the US media was swift to focus the blame for the attacks on the film.

By Wednesday afternoon the media shifted the focus of discussion on the still ongoing attacks from the film to an all-out assault on Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney for his temerity in attacking as "disgraceful" the administration's initial apologetic response to the attacks on the embassies.

With President Barack Obama's inauguration, American foreign policy shifted.  Obama and his advisers agree that jihadist Islam is the predominant force in the Muslim world. But in their imaginary world, jihadist Islam is a good thing for America.

Hence Obama believes that Israel - the first target of jihadist Islam's bid for global supremacy - is a strategic burden rather than an ally to the US.  Obama abandoned its most stalwart ally in the Arab world, then supported the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood to power in the most strategically vital state in the Arab world.

And Obama supported a Libyan rebel force penetrated by al-Qa'ida which is setting the stage for the re-institution of the Taliban regime in Afghanistan.

What Foreign Policy?

Bow wow wow, yippie yo B-O.

America, while in a deep debt crisis herself, continues to dump trillions of dollars into countries that despise us.  Countries of the middle east, with the exception of Israel, that have no regard for Democracy, and the tributes it provides.  And, due to their Islamic fundamentals, have no desire to elect their government or encourage the freedoms we know in the Western cultures.

President B-O's foreign policy, as the initials he places on his informal notes imply, quite frankly stink.  The moment he took office he began bowing before the Muslim kings of the Middle East and apologized for American intrusions into their world as he vowed to make amends.

B-O was caught on a "live mike" making a secret deal to a Russian official that would have had no Congressional approval.  And few (Democrats) seemed to think anything of it.

In his own books, B-O stated he would support the Muslim world over any other in a time of crisis.  That was never more evident by his refusal to have an emergency meeting with the President of Israel recently, all the while seemingly knowing about the planned imminent threats to our citizens and embassies abroad commemorating the 911 attack, and doing absolutely nothing to prevent it.

B-O stated publicly yesterday that Egypt was not considered a U.S. ally, which was promptly reversed by the State Department.  Neither B-O or Hillary Clinton denounced the killings of our Ambassador and several guards abroad, but condemned the film that they believed incited the rioting.  And the beauty Nancy Pelosi expressed a "Wait 'n' See" attitude as to what America should do about it.

America needs to stop foreign aid to countries that hate us now!  Countries like Egypt, Libya, Pakistan, Indonesia, Iraq, and Afghanistan to name a few.  Pull out and focus on securing our own borders before this country implodes from within as the Islamic culture grows in our own cities.

B-O and all of his chromies must go in November.  And include any other long-term politician, Democrat or not, that refuses to act.

There is no bigger threat to our way of life in America than Islam!

Hoe Ignorant They Are!

Who am I calling ignorant?  They Ignorants are those that voted for Obama (B.O), the first time, and those stupid enough to vote for him again.

The Ignorants are mostly females, most of the 18-25 year olds, most of those on Welfare, most of Gays, most of Hispanics, most of union workers, most of those that have medical marijuana prescriptions, most of those that to use abortion as a means of birth control, most of those that either live on the Left coasts, most of unwed mothers and the unidentified fathers of their children, most Hippies and others who don't bathe regularly, most of the ones that prevent off shore oil drilling and cutting trees for lumber, most of those that drive Toyota Priuses or ride bicycles to work every day, most artists and actors (except Clint Eastwood), Green Peace members, most Volkswagon drivers, and communists.

You know all these people were aware that President B.O. (now, I don't mean Bad Odor) had a youth mentor named Frank Marshall Davis who was an outspoken, card carrying Communists, and they knew that President B.O. was good friends with William (Bill) Ayers, who was convicted and imprisoned for bombing various American government buildings, and they knew that Reverend Jeremiah Wright, who condemmed America and blamed us for the 911 terrorist attack.  And they knew that President B.O.'s citizenship was in question.

But most importantly, these Ignorants knew that President B.O. was a Half-Black.  And that was the most underlining reason they voted him into office.  Just to prove to their own minds that they were not prejudiced.

And these same Ignorants will do it again!

An Obama Reality

While travelling this summer I stopped at a casino about 30 miles outside Chicago, in Jolliet, Illinois.  President B.O. spent some time as a Community Organizer not far from there.

Anyway, I'm not much of a gambler, but I do like the thought of winning 25 Hundred Dollars on a 25 cent Keno bet.  Now I've never seen anyone get the 8 of 8 needed for the 2500 big ones, but I have got 7/8 in the past which paid $1670.  Very cool!

Anyway, I sat down at a Keno machine, and within playing my first handful of quarters, I hit the big one.  2500 Dollars!  Wow, how fun was that?

So after waiting about 15 minutes for the Pit Boss to verify the win, he paid me, in cash, a total of $1025.00.  The Pit Boss, a tall light skinned Black with big ears, explained that the casino retains 25% of all winning which is put into a pool to repay those that lose their bets.  So, in theory, he said nobody loses in his place.  When asked whether the 25% taken from the winners is always enough to reimburse all losers, he said, "No, but we put the rest on credit so they can be paid."

Well now that explained about $625 of my winnings, so he then added that I was in the 34% Federal Tax bracket, so he deducted that amount ($850) as well.  He also said that 34% was to be distributed by the government for programs that support those that do not pay taxes.

I was really breathing hard and perspiring profusely when I awoke from that dream.

Reality is that I actually did go to that casino, but I didn't win anything.  And there was no fund to repay me for my losses.  But I really do have to pay 34% of everything I earn to the government, which is then redistributed to the 47% that don't.

Anyway, it was just a nightmare.  A bad dream with President Obama as a Pit Boss.  But reality is, if President B.O. and his harem, are re-elected that nightmare is ever closer becoming a reality.  You can see evidence of it in Chicago where few work, and the city is holding with the highest murder rate in America.

93 Days Down - 82 Left

.

We are home.  You know, back home on the Central Oregon Coast after 93 days of sightseeing, visiting family and friends, and spending some of that time just being together.  What a trip it was!

Now it's back to catching up on the maintenance around the house.  Laundry, mowing, bush trimming, weeding, watering, and preparing the Wheeled Manor for our next grandstand in just a few months from now.  Soon we will be catching up with the loved ones we left here as our lives return to what once was, our normal.

I love being surrounded by green, moderate temperatures, and our abundance of wildlife.  Something we have not seen much of since we left.  Seems wherever we traveled, the heat followed.  Only a mid-western thunder shower, or while passing through a higher elevation, could drop the temperature below 100 degrees.  Now we're back into to 70's.

But, now that we are beck to reality, I have realized it is less than 3 months down the road to the election.  Thanks to all of you for following the Thought Dock while we were away.  I know it was hard because the blogs were so infrequent and off point.  But now, I'm back and I'll be getting the word out on the things that matter most to us....Defeating that clown, that Cheat, that liar, and that Fake, Corrupt President, BO.  Taking down Obama and his Court will be our Number One goal.

So get ready.  Be back soon!!      

Looking East then West

During our Friends and Family tour, I've seen many sunrises, and just as many sunsets.  We all know the sun rises in the east and sets in the west.  I can surely attest to that as I squint looking east every morning waiting for that first cup of coffee to work it's way into my body.  And just as difficult it is to drive west into that setting sun looking for that next RV Park adventure.  Oh how beautiful and warm our sun is.

But did you know that no matter where you stand on earth, you can never see both a sunrise and sunset at the same time?  Try it.  Get up early and look east until you have the rising sun in your face, then quickly turn snap your neck to the west.   Too late, the sunset is already passed!   No matter how quick you are, you'll never see them both.   It's impossible.

How silly it seems to some of you to even try.  For what?  We all know it to be impossible even before we try.  So why try?

Well, our Lord made it that way.  For me it is a reminder that although I sin every day, I am forgiven with each sunset and begin anew every sunrise.  What I've done the day before is over and can not be done over, but I can only wait until the next day for another chance to make things better.

See it my way.  But with a political spin, we made a mistake electing President B.O. and we need to begin anew when the sunrises on Election Day.  May God Bless America!

First Holder - Then President B.O.

Well, today is the start of the Fall.  Not the start of the fall season, but the beginning of the fall of the atmosphere of corruption in our government.  Today is the first step is to spank Attorney General, Eric Holder, for lying about the administration's direction of Mexican drug cartel enforcement.  And, with that it will expose President B.O's. need to use his Executive Privilege to cover it all up.  Take 'Em down deep.  Then follow with the ousting of Nancy Pelosi in her nest re-election bid.

On a side note, we are concluding our trip and heading west.  Still 1562 miles to go and maybe a week or two left.  More to see.  More friends to visit.  And more time together.

I know some of you are starving for the Wisdom of the Thought Dock and may have even turned elsewhere for some sort of substitute.  But there is none.  So be patient and I promise to come back even stronger.  And keep coming with the information you find, but can not understand.  I'll digest it for you and break it down with a Thought Dock spin and feed it right back to you in a way that will make sense.

America's Biggest Mistake

Last week we finished our our of the Plains States.  Those are the ones that produce America's vast supply of corn and wheat.  Places like Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, and Kansas.  And we went even deeper during our journey to explore Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana.

There it was right before us, the stomping grounds of Obama, Chicago.  The place where he held his first job as a Community Organizer, and the place where he continued his climb to the Presidency from his very own Illinois State Senate seat.

Obama left his mark everywhere.  It was obvious.  Chicago leads our Nation with the murder rate.  Bordered up and abandoned homes, apartments and business were everywhere.  Closed factories, and unfinished construction projects blanketed the area.  Dope dealers and prostitutes roamed most every street outside of the center city.  One news report described a beating wherein a limousine pulled to the curb at the gate of Wrigley Field and six males exited and beat a man to death that was standing on the corner.  Organized crime?  Mafia.  You decide if you can.

Obama's influence was everywhere with one of the nations highest tax rate, unemployment, and failed social programs.  In one well known mega store, I saw a lady cash 4 different welfare checks right in front of me while I waited for the cashier to accept my cash.  The oddest thing was the cashier didn't bat an eye when she presented four different ID's to cash the checks.  Pathetic.

Chicago heavily taxes those that do work.  Sales tax, gasoline tax, and toll roads are all over the place.  In one day of touring the Chicago area we spent over $36 dollars in parking and another $28 in toll charges.  It's no wonder why the cost of living there even outweighs that of New Your City.  And Obama believes even more social programs are the answer.

America made it's mistake 4 years ago by hoping that the Bozo would bring change.  Well, he did.  He appointed his friends like the Evil Holder, continued our never seen before deficit, raised our taxes, and funneled money through bailouts to his Union and other big supporters, some of which filed bankruptcy right after receiving our gifts.  Is this what America is to be?

We don't need another Mistake.  Get rid of Obama, his corrupt policies, his lies, and his blatant arrogance to our Constitution, and his racist views during our next election.  And don't forget to oust all of his other crooked friends.  Let them all go to countries that allow corruption.

Me - You - Us - Them - Him

It's not as important about what people say about you while you are in their presence, but what they say about you after you leave.

Yesterday, we took time out by ourselves and watched the Eddie Murphy movie "1000 Words."  Now, I'm not much of a fan of any Funny Guy, preferring a more serious or factual subject, but I watched the guy anyway.  The movie, as I interpreted it, was not so much a comedy as I expected, but more of a touchy-feely matter which hit home with me.

And, along those lines is what I'm all about.  You know, Ethics, Honesty, Trust, Love, Truth, Patriotism, and all the other things I so often write about.

During our vacation, we have visited with so friends, family, and neighbors while meeting new people along the way.  And many conversations began by someone stating, "The last time I saw you . . . "  Well, I guess those shared memories really were about "Those Days."   And sometimes we even plan what we will do during our next visit, not ever thinking if the next visit will really materialize.

I guess I'm growing older and perhaps that is why I'm thinking in this manner.  This past year so many of our friends have passed for one reason or another, and I'm sure that more will follow.  Until now, I never really thought the last time I saw someone, that it really would be the "Last Time."  

It's not so much that I want to have made a good impression on them, or that I want anyone to admire me.  But more that those I've seen for the real "Last Time" understand that I love and care for them just as He does for me.  And even if I get to see them again before either I, or they pass, they should know that I care about them and expect nothing in return.

For me, you, us, them, and Him are forever.

Obama-Holder - Birds of a Feather

A few weeks ago, our United States Attorney General, Eric Holder, was found to be in Contempt of Congress.  What a surprise!

Birds of a feather flock together.  President Obama has an established history of flocking with crooks,  Bill Ayers, a convicted terrorist of the 1970's is but one of those known crooks that is associated with the Obama administrations.  Other fill his cabinet.

Eric Holder, like a fox guarding the pen, like Obama, refuses to work within confines of our government, and Obama exerts his executive privileges to protect him.  Surprising?  Shouldn't be.  It's what he has done since the Ignorants elected him.  With-holding his birth certificate in the interest of National Security?  The President should have been brought down on that issue alone.

Now, in Contempt of Congress for lying, Holder will not be prosecuted because the rules state he is the prosecutor and can not be forced to try himself.  Obama continues to express confidence in Holder.  Why?  Because Obama is a crook too, right out of Chicago.

America should be shames to have leaders such as these.  But we continue to deflect theses issues away to corrupt politics in other countries.

We are no better than the politics of China, North Korea, or Russia.

That's a grand total of 28 years of unpaid service to his country, his community and his church.  Why?  Because that's the kind of man Mitt Romney is!  

 

And in 2011 Mitt Romney gave over $4 million to charity, almost 19% of his income....Obama gave 1%  

 

Joe Biden gave $300 or .0013%  

 

This is real character vs....well you know what!  

 

Romney may not be the best representative the Republicans could have selected.  At least I know what religion he is, and that he won't desecrate the flag, bow down to foreign powers, or squander my money on vacations.  I know he has the ability to turn this financial debacle that the "Spending President" has gotten us into.  We didn't know that when Obama said he'd give us change, he meant nickels and dimes, and he would get the big bucks.  We won’t like all the things necessary to recover from this debt, but someone with Romney’s background can do it.  

 

But, on the minus side, He never was a "Community Organizer", never took drugs or smoked pot.  Never got drunk. Did not associate with communists or terrorists. Nor did he attend a church whose pastor called for God to damn the US. 

The Heat is On

Well, I guess some of you know that we've been travelling throughout the western half of America this summer.  We're visiting family and friends, touring national parks, and seeing the sights along the path.  

And things are going swell, but it has been really hot, record setting hot most of the time.  It all began as we left SoCal and it has been heating up as we went on.  Our route took us from the beaches of San Diego, into the Colorado River Valley and through the Painted Desert and the Petrified Forrest before climbing grades into the Phoenix area.  Then though through the plateau and into Albuquerque before north into the Denver area just in time to be amid the huge fires between Colorado Springs and Loveland.

Those terrible fires choked our every breath and they destroyed nearly 1000 homes throughout Colorado and New Mexico.  Temperatures well over 100 degrees, afternoon winds and ultra-low humidity kept things going, seemingly forever.  Event periodic afternoon thunderstorms couldn't break the spell.

But visiting the family was wonderful, and historical things happened.  Our oldest grand daughter obtained her driving permit, a six year old was a fury on the two wheeler we got her a year ago, our four year old grand son rode his bike for the first time without training wheels, while his sister got a new pink bike with training wheels, handle bar tassels wheels and a basket, and the youngest learned to sit up right before our eyes.  A zoo visit, camping, swimming and fishing made fond memories that will last a lifetime.

Then across the cornfields east through America's heartland, Nebraska and Iowa, then America's troubled land of Illinois where Obama began his trauma, and over to Indiana.
Now we are sweltering in humidity, with record heat into the 100's.  Lots more to do here and there before returning west in a week or two.

Four kids and a Dog

What great parents we must be!  And even greater grandparents we are.  To spend this portion of our travels to babysit while our kids are off to celebrate their anniversary in Las Vegas.  So we got the kids, a 4-month old, a 2 year old, a four year old, a 7 year old, and a 100 pound English Bulldog, for four days all to ourselves.

It's great.  But boy have times changed.  They seem to have everything.  The 4 month old has more toys than I ever had during my entire lifetime.  And the other kids have even more.  Yet each one of them seemed to get bored after a bit and can't seem to find anything to do.

Cabinets are filled with an abundance of books, paints, crayons, and movies.  Their bedrooms are piled with dolls, drums, Legos, and portable video games.  And the garage has no room for the family car because it protects the bikes, skateboards, and motorized sports cars.

A far cry from the way I grew up.  With a tin can which we kicked to and from school every day until it would no longer roll, or a single piece of paper that I drew on for days before folding it into a jet wing airplane.  A found tennis ball and an old broomstick were all I needed to host a stickball game in the field across the street.  And baseball cards pinned to slap the spokes of the bicycle I shared with my brother.  I was always busy, and never at a loss for what to do.

I would have thought that child raising would be much easier than it was when I did it before.  The technology today doesn't help much.  Securing everyone into some high tech car seat that I can barely figure out before trekking over to the park.  The variety of foods available, each with health warnings pasted all over the wrappings.  A selection of shoes and clothes that would dwarf my own closet makes a choice of what to wear so much more difficult, both for the parent and child.

Theme parks, fast food restaurants, entertainment centers and such filled these kids activities regularly.  You've got to be well organized, and have sufficient cash reserves to preserve this lifestyle.

Sure is fun though.  But is it really better than the way it was?

Obama Trauma - Country Divided

For me, the pain keeps on growing.

The pain of our government, and in particular, pRESIDENT oBAMA.  My gosh, look at what he has done.  How he has divided our Country.  By race.  By class.  By education.  By religion.  By state.  By city.

One against the other.  The riots in our streets pit neighbor against neighbor.  The occupiers pit the "Give it to Me" against the wealthy.  Spread the wealth.  Everyone is entitled to everything, working or not.  The taxpayers against the tax users.  Business forced to provide benefits they can no afford.  Heath care, welfare, environmental extremists.  And Michelle regulating the size of sodas sold by Mickey D's, and controlling food menus in the schools.

The pRESIDENT"S top cabinet member, Eric Holder, lies to Congress and is now in contempt.  Another aide appointee arrested for hit and run in Los Angeles add to the growing list of failures.  oBAMMA cARE and immigration concerns pit State against State, City against City, and most of us against the increase control of us by the Federal Government.

And country against country around the world.  Alienating our allies, and creating more tension world-wide than we have ever seen.

How we could have even considered oBAMA for the pRESIDENCY in the first place.  One who has a self admitted hatred foe Whites, a flagrant disrespect the military he leads.  His refusal to properly salute our Flag or openly recite the our Pledge of Allegiance, turns my stomach.  The crooks and terrorists he ran with in his younger years are now his cabinet members.  Union crooks fund his every move.

Makes me puke.

Lord, I pray that you will restore our once great Christian country to what it once was.

I Don't Like the Obammas

"I was asked: “I have to ask, why do you hate the Obama’s?

I’ve made no secret of my contempt for the Obamas. I don’t like them because they are committed to the fundamental change of my/our country into what can only be regarded as a Communist state.

I condemn them because they are the worst kind of racialists, they are elitist Leninists with contempt for traditional America. They display disrespect for the sanctity of the office he holds, and for those who are willing to admit same Michelle Obama’s raw contempt for white America is transpicuous.

I don’t like them because they comport themselves as emperor and empress. I expect, no I demand respect for the Office of President and a love of our country and her citizenry from the leader entrusted with the governance of same. President and Mrs. Reagan displayed an unparalleled love for the country and her people. The Reagans made Americans feel good about themselves and about what we could accomplish. Could you envision President Reagan instructing his Justice Department to act like jack-booted thugs?

Presidents are politicians and all politicians are known and pretty much expected to manipulate the truth, if not outright lie, but even using that low standard, the Obama’s have taken lies, dishonesty, deceit, mendacity, subterfuge and obfuscation to new depths. They are verbally abusive to the citizenry and they display an animus for civility.

I do not like them, because they both display bigotry overtly, as in the case of Harvard Professor Louis Gates, when he accused the Cambridge Police of acting stupidly, and her code speak pursuant to now being able too be proud of America. I view that statement and that mindset as an insult to those who died to provide a country where a Kenyan, his illegal alien relatives, and his alleged progeny, could come and not only live freely, but rise to the highest, most powerful, position in the world. Michelle Obama is free to hate and disparage whites, because Americans of every description paid with their blood to ensure her right to do same.

I have a saying, that “the only reason a person hides things, is because they have something to hide.” No president in history has spent over a million dollars to keep his records and his past sealed. And what the two of them have shared has been proved to be lies. He lied about when and how they met, he lied about his mother’s death and problems with insurance, Michelle lied to a crowd pursuant to nearly $500,000 bank stocks they inherited from his family. He has lied about his father’s military service, about the civil rights movement, ad nauseum

He lied to the world about the Supreme Court in a State of the Union address. He berated and publicly insulted a sitting Congressman. He has surrounded himself with the most rabidly, radical, socialist academicians today. He has fought for abortion procedures and opposed rulings that protected women and children, that even Planned Parenthood did not seek to support. He is openly hostile to business and aggressively hostile to Israel.

His wife treats being the First Lady, as her personal American Express Black Card (arguably the most prestigious credit card in the world). I condemn them because, as people are suffering, losing their homes, their jobs, their retirements, he and his family are arrogantly showing off their life of entitlement – as he goes about creating and fomenting class warfare.

I don’t like them, and I neither apologize nor retreat from my public condemnation of them and of his policies. We should condemn them for the disrespect they show our people, for his willful and unconstitutional actions pursuant to obeying the Constitutional parameters he is bound by, and his willful disregard for Congressional authority.

Dislike for them has nothing to do with the color of their skin, it has everything to do with their behavior, attitudes, and policies. And I have open scorn for their playing the race.

Never in my life, inside or outside of politics, have I witnessed such dishonesty in a political leader. He is the most mendacious political figure I have ever witnessed. Well, we have now made the trip to the Colorado Springs area to visit even more family.  Actually though, one of this family was in fact the same one that we shipped back from CA after he broke his arm.  The only difference is that he didn't get to go to Legoland, and that he now wears an Oregon Duck green colored cast on his left arm.

We toured the Painted Desert, the Petrified Forest, and a WWII Aircraft museum while we made the trek.  The weather was blistering hot (105+) most every day, but our slow pace made the trip relaxing.

Speaking about the weather, I often get anxious about the weather on the Central Oregon Coast with the rain so often.  But so far, we've had nothing but high winds along the way.  And typical for this neighborhood, afternoon thunder showers.

But not so typical, were the two hail storms we got caught in.  The first in Trinidad, CO, and just after we arrived in the Springs area, another.  The second was very violent and drove golf ball sized stones into us causing significant damage to our tow vehicle that we were driving at the time.   So fierce in nature we couln't see and were forced to pull off the highway in the open plains area.  Perhaps you've seen the news where the hail buried cars that tried to cross a gulch.  The accumulated hail was nearly THREE feet deep.  A historical record.

A Clean Break

While holed up in Santa Paula, CA., our 7 year old grandson arrived by air, shipped non-stop by his parents in Colorado.  What a thrill it was for us!  He was to join our journey from SoCal back to his home.  We planned to see the sights along the way, exploring America from the ground up.  And so it began.

First stop, Simi Valley, CA where we met his younger cousins for lunch, then off to Travel Town in Griffith Park, Los Angeles.  Travel Town hosts a slew of retired steam locomotives, wooden horse drawn wagons, and      various exhibits of the way America was.  The way it used to be.  The way many of us used to remember it, and the way we now need to teach our children, and their children, and to the many others whom have come to American since Her great era ended.  This America, sadly for me, no longer exists.

So anyway, as we were about to begin our lessons in history, our grandson from Colorado, fell and broke both of his forearm.  And our plan changed.  Following arrival of a Park Ranger who constructed a splint from items in his medical backpack, a quick response team from the LA City Fire Department, a rescue ambulance, and a ride to the emergency room, we planned to continue on with our trip across America, starting with Lego Land near San Diego.

But as our luck went, that was not to happen.  Not yet anyway.  Not this year even, but on a Sumday soon, we hope.  Due to the nature of the bone break,it was necessary to ship the little guy home for followup medical treatment.  So after his mother flew in to take over, he boarded a return flight home.

And so it went  And so it will continue on some other day.

Is this really the United States of America?

In between the sometimes hectic schedule of visiting our many friends and family in SoCal, I do find moments of time to check out FOX News. And sometimes, what I hear and see on the news is heart wrenching to say the least.

I was disturbed to learn that the USS Iowa which served as a lead battleship throughout WWII, and into the 21st. Century had recently been decommissioned for the last time. The Flagship of our very proud Pacific Fleet was donated to a group in San Fancisco who wanted to berth her beneath the Golden Gate Bridge.

The San Francisco City Council publicly rejected the offer stating the Ship is a symbol of war and San Franciscans denounce all wars. The council also decried that the US Navy is hatred toward Gays because a gay sailor was wrongly accused of causing an explosion in the gun turret of the ship killing a group of soldiers.

Other flagrant acts of disrespect toward the America I know, like giving amnesty and voting rights in local elections to illegal aliens and advocating the Occupy movement is similar to other California cities like Los Angeles and Sacramento where illegal aliens without driver's licenses or insurance are permitted to drive without fear of being arrested. Now, in the San Fernando Valley suburb of LA, nearly 80% of all injury accidents are hit and run. Most blame the illegals without licenses.

Now shouldn't the Battleship Iowa be a symbol of peace, not war since it libererated many of the people now living in San Francisco from terrible torments of war that began in their own countries? And shouldn't those violating driving laws be held equally accountable under the law for their actions? Why do the law abiders have to shoulder the burden of insuring themselves against the uninsured illegals?

News videos of the Occupy movement attacking our police in Chicago during the NATO discussions? Barack Obama encouraged this and has yet to denounce these commies some say are led by the infamous Communist Bill Ayers which I frequently talk about.

Oh how my mind spins with disbelief and shame when I hear these reports. This is truly NOT the United States of America any longer.

Escaping it?

I suppose some of you know, perhaps by the lack of postings to the Though Dock, that I have begun my annual vacation. This year could be my longest absence from home, ever.

We left last Tuesday, stopped by Eugene for some last minute fixes to our Wheeled Manor, and headed south late that afternoon. Some might also know that we replaced our smaller and aging unit with a larger and newer one. But with all newly acquired rigs of this complexity, there are bugs to be worked out. And we are getting there.

After a night near Lake Shasta, CA, we headed east from Sacramento about 80 miles to the town of Columbia. It is a historic place founded during the gold rush days of the 1850's. The entire town is now a State park and has been restored to the old days era. Sasparilla was selling better than beer to the tourists (including us) in the local saloons and might even float you back to the Yosemite Sam days. Columbia is a great place to stop if you are ever in the area.

But even in Columbia there is television, and thus Fox News. It was there I learned that the Oregon voters in our area approved a property tax levy, and approved an admitted pot smoking lawyer to run as the Democratic candidate for Attorney General. I guess it shouldn't shock me as 14% of Oregonians have medical marijuana cards, and 57% of Oregonians have no legitimate source of income. The don't pay property taxes, but vote to raise the tax on those that do. Socialism is here folks!

Currently we are holed up in Santa Paula, CA among groves of fruit trees, just inland from the beach. Her we are within an hour's drive to an abundance of friends and family that we plan to share the next two weeks with. And California is also facing voter approved tax increases in their upcoming election rather than cutting waste and services. It is the same story here. Few earn their way and impose taxes on those that have earned it.

There seems to be no escaping it.

Well, if you hate reading this blog, or if you can't help but to send me demeaning e-mails, then I must be doing something right.

Remember when the majority o Americans rallied in support for Obama's campaign promise to fundamentally change America? How sad was that? Now our President has given us the most divided times in America that I can ever remember.

He has divided us by wealth. "It's all about inequality," say the signs at Occupy and May Day rallies. The workless demand that those that earn their way share their success with everyone.

He has divided us by class. "Amnesty for Illegals," chant the left and right coast populations. Open the gates to America to anyone seeking refuge. Pay their medical bills. Educate their children and let them drive without licenses or insurance are the current agenda.

He has divided by race. "Hang him," scream the Blacks over the Trayvon Martin shooting. America swallow up the invalid claims that the shooting was not an issue of sel-defense, but rather a hate crime, intentional murder of an innocent Black teen.

He has divided us by religion. "Build more mosques," is what Obama says. Wherever they want, but remove those crosses standing above our military cemeteries. America was founded on religious theory, but that Christianity is just a theory now.

And he has divided our federal and state governments. "I'll sue you," is what our Attorney General Eric Holder says. Immigration enforcement is "our" job, but we won't do it and I'll take you to court. And Obama says the Supreme Court shouldn't intervene in decisions made by elected officials (especially his). What would have happened if that rationale was used in the Rosa Parks rising?

So, ........In about a week, I'm taking a break from politics while I vacation across America with my family and friends. No, I'm not running. Because good people don't run and hide after speaking the Truth. If you haven't gotten my point by now, then you never will.

A Nice Guy?

A Nice Guy?

You know, I do a lot of talking about Ethics, Politics, and such. And some of you are really very stupid and have your head buried in darkness. If you think that I'm referring to you, then I probably am. 

Just the other morning, I was having lunch with a friend when we began talking about President Obama's bid for re-election. Well, we both agreed that would not be in our best interest, but here is the kicker. My friend stated, "I believe he (Obama) is a really nice guy, but he ….." I agreed with the "but he" part. It was the "really nice guy preface" turned my stomach.

And I hear this over and over again, from Republicans and Democrats alike. It seems like that is the prevailing attitude of many, if not most Americans today. And it seems to be even more prevalent in the woman's view.

So, what is it? His looks? He certainly is debonair. Has a charismatic personality, and even some say he sings well. I might even agree with each of those definitions, but does that make him a "nice guy?"

Seems even Mitt Romney has fallen into Obama's web. Like the Devil himself, he will appear to be whatever is appealing to his audience. 
Well, I'm here to tell you that I believe Obama is the Devil, or at least sent to America by the Devil. He is truly evil. 

To see the truth, set aside his charm for the moment and examine his circle of friends and supporters, his actions, his appointees, and his deceptions to the American people. Obama has implanted an atmosphere of corruption throughout his sphere of influence. Not only is Obama corrupt, but so are everyone in his circle.

William Ayer, the leader of the Weather Underground and convicted of conspiring the blow op the Capitol, was a primary contributor to his campaign in 2008. What about his other associates, like his radical preachers, Al Sharpton and the like. His 41 appointees of his cabinet, which were not elected and can not be fired by anyone other than him. People like Eric Holder, who insists on convicting the CIA agents who have prevented another 911 through their interview techniques. You know the guy that is driven to stop all Sates from inacting illegal immigration and voter fraud, all the while turning his head to the Black Panther voter intimidation caught on tape. The same guy that just incited racial tension in America over the Trayvon Martin incident.

And Janet Napolitano's refusal to use profiling in our airport, but insists on searching children, and grandmas in wheel chairs. How about Mr, Chu, the energy czar who doesn't own a car, but encourages oil prices to rise to the European level? Fund General Motors, and appoint their union leaders to a Federal office?

Divide and Conquer. Obama has done more to divide Americans by race and by wealth than anyone this country has ever known. Tax the wealthy to spread their wealth around while the deficit climbs out of control. Make secret deals with the leaders of other communist countries (as caught on tape), yet blast Israel for trying to protect it's people?

No my friend, Obama is not a nice guy. He is truly the Devil.

These Ugly Ducklings

Never in my life have I seen such an arrogant, lying, anti-American, racist, Constitution challenging, and socialist moron in my life.

Now, I suppose that many of you think that I am probably referring to President Barack Obama because that shoe might fit him. Actually, I am talking about the President's appointee, Attorney General Eric Holder.

It figured that the AG would pop out of the closet just in time to jump on the band wagon and join the growing hate campaign against George Zimmerman for murdering the innocent little boy, Trayvon Martin.

Holder made my much anticipated appearance before a group of hate mongers during a meeting National Action Network, founded by our very own Al Sharpton and funded by NBC News.

I'm very surprised that our very own President did not show his presence, but I'm sure he was somewhere in the shadows as well, and must have his own hands full trying to explain why gasoline prices have doubled, and trying to promote his new, more fair, tax policy.

Holder hates the American way; the justice system, all the way from the cop on the street, to the United States Supreme Court. His office has sued every state that has enacted immigration reform, voter registration, and questioned brother Obama's health care plan. While at the same time, he has lied to congressional investigators, released too many terrorists to count, and chastised the Justices of the Supreme Court for even considering the constitutionally of the health care law.

He igores the voter intimidation issue and the bounty placed on Zimmerman's death by the Black Panthers, while he demands the execution of Zimmerman.

Holder has shown a flagrant disrespect for America itself. Never in my 33 years of law enforcement have I been so outraged with any leader of America. He disrupts everything America stands for, and he is yet only one of many similar bafoons the President has placed in his cabinet.

Chasing the Sun

You know, I'm all for conservation. But within reason, and until now.

In Oregon, trash recycling is optional. But if you chose to recycle, you must follow some instructions first. All recyclable material must first be separated from general household waste. But first, empty bottles, jars, and cans must be rinsed. Clean paper, most cardboard, and the cans and glass are collected by the rubbish company and sold for a profit, which they keep. In other words, we do most of the sorting, spend our own money to rinse the cans and glass, all so that someone can keep the revenue.

Aluminum cans and plastic drink bottles bought in Oregon, can be brought to a can crushing location and redeemed for the deposit paid. However, the cans and bottles must be clean and in good enough condition for a scanner to read the bar code to verify it was purchased in Oregon. That means the ones that are dented, scratched, or otherwise, that can not be scanned, are rejected and the only option is to send them to the landfill. That includes the ones brought into Oregon from another state.

It seems that the recycling program is all about profit. Don't you think?

So, the same holds true for a whole lot of other government funded programs. Like funding for the auto makers to produce electric vehicles. Did you know that for every electric vehicle sold in America, is cost taxpayers spent 240 Thousand dollars in money for research and development, fueling stations, and rebates to those willing to purchase a car? Someone making money at the taxpayer's expense.

The same can be said for government funded medical research. Billions are funneled to those companies to discover treatments, and new drugs. Yet the medical and drug companies reap and retain huge rewards from their discoveries, which the taxpayers paid for.

Such can be also said for green energy such as solar, wind, nuclear, and oil exploration. Solyndra goes broke, we pay the price. Oil companies make huge of profits on oil that we paid them to discover. These grants are all over us and are costing us big. And on top of that, President Obama has refused to allow oil drilling in the areas that we paid the companies to find.

Enough is enough. I'm done with spending my time and money recycling trash only for someone else to make money. Since it is still optional here, I'm opting out and will let my elected officials and others know about it. I will not support any government funded program that leads to the profit making of someone else rather than being returned to the taxpayers.

I've had enough.

OBAMA MUST GO!!!

The Supreme Court has suggested that his health care plan is unconstitutional, and he responds by belittling the Justices for not supporting elected leaders. The Constitution is the foundation of America, and Obama does not support it.

Oil prices have doubled since he took office, and he responds by reducing oil drilling in America and rejecting a Canadian proposal to bring cheaper oil to us via pipeline.

Secretary of Energy, Steven Chu, announced that he desires American Gas prices to be more in line with Europe's ($9 gallon) to force into conserving fuel, yet he gives his appointee a vote of confidence.

Solyndra has failed absconding with millions of tax payer's dollars, and he responds by funding millions more to other solar companies that will likely fail as well.

Fellow Illinois State Representatives have just been charged with voter fraud in his last Presidential election, yet he supported Eric Holder's decision not to prosecute the Black Panther's involved in voter intimidation.

Eric Holder still desires to prosecute former CIA members for torturing captured terrorists abroad, places NYPD under investigation for aggressively surveillance of terrorists in mosques, lies to Congress about the "Fast & Furious" gun running, yet Obama gives him a vote of confidence.

Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano, manages to revise the National Threat Chart, eliminates profiling in airport screenings, and conducts searches of elderly White ladies and children in wheelchairs, yet he praises the work of his appointee.

The President has been video taped making a secret pledge to Russia to eliminate our missile defense system after his re-election when he is no longer would be subject to voter concerns.

And the list could go on and on.... And it does. Obama's failed policies, and arrogance in leading this country into a Marxist style of government, can not be tolerated for another term.

America needs to unite, both Democrats and Republicans alike, to take the steps necessary to prevent his re-election NOW! Obama has fundementally transformed America too much already.

You Asked For It

Stories about the shooting death of the Black 17 year old, Trayvon Martin, by the Neighborhood Watchman, George Zimmerman, has been flooding the news for the past 2 weeks. And many inquiries have been directed through the Thought Dock portal to me asking for my opinion from a law officer's view. So, since you asked…

First off I'll say that anytime a life is lost is a tragedy, and sometime tragedies can be avoided. Whether or not that was the case in this incident, I will not say, simply because I don't know what exactly happened.

What I do know is that the information reported in the news, especially NBC News, is greatly distorted and designed to incite the public. The reports used photos of Martin taken years before the incident, portraying him as a handsome and innocent adolescent-smiling child dressed in a youth football uniform, when in fact he was a very troubled teenager, suspended from school and wearing a hooded sweatshirt which we all should know is the choice apparel of gang members. While at the same time the photo of Zimmerman made him look as an unkept White supremacist.

I also saw that NBC News published a transcribed statement of Zimmerman's frantic call to the police omitting key points in the conversation implying that Zimmerman was a racist pig and that was the true motive for the shooting.
Seems I've seen this kind of reporting during the Rodney King and OJ trials some years ago.

And noticeably absent from all the hoopla, was our very own racist President. You know, the same one that was so quick to defend his Black buddy extremist when the White police veteran arrested him for resisting arrest. Quiet also, is the racist Eric Holder, who refused to investigate the Black Panther's voter intimidation at the polls during the last Presidential election.

This death is simply a case of self-defense which is supported by Florida's "Stand your Ground" law. And since the self defense issue is based solely on Zimmerman's state of mind at the time of the shooting, it is very hard to prove, since we don't know what was in his head at the moment he acted. What we do know is that Trayvon knocked Zimmerman to the ground and slammed his head into the pavement as he beat him in the face, breaking his nose. All of which are supported by eye witness accounts and Zimmerman's screams through the dropped cell phone while the police operator listened.

I've seen no evidence to support the incident was racially motivated, but that is not what the news services and Black spiritual leaders want us to think. Calls from Black leaders to march and voice your opinions loudly and offering a bounty for Zimmerman by the Black Panthers will only cause these fools to burn their own neighborhoods as they have done so many times before.

So, there you have it.

In the Eye of the de-Holder

Can you imagine working in a place where the CEO hates the employees and undermines their efforts to produce a successful product? Well, President Obama's appointee, Attorney General Eric Holder is just that CEO.

Soon after his appointment, Holder teamed with Nancy Pelosi and attempted to prosecute CIA agents for using harsh interview techniques, approved by the previous administration, during terrorist interrogations.

Holder then brought Islamic terrorists captured by our military overseas, that were held pending trial at Gitmo, to America to be tried in a civilian court. That decision resulted in the release of hundreds without any trial, and their return to terrorism activity. Some have since been arrested again for terrorism acts abroad.

Eric Holder has stood against American States enacting their own laws to enforce Illegal Immigration, and sued to stop it. He has refused to prosecute those cities that openly harbor Illegal Aliens.

Eric Holder has lied under oath during Senate hearings to determine his knowledge of the Border Patrol's operation that gave thousands of weapons to the Mexican drug cartels and then used to kill our own Border Patrol agents.

Holder has stood in favor of Islamic leaders to build a new mosque nearly on top of the World Trade Center they destroyed.

And just this morning, Holder announced an investigation into the NYPD's policy of monitoring Islamic extremist's activities as they meet in mosques. It has been reported that NYPD has stopped no less than 14 terrorist attacks or plots against Americans since 9/11.

Ultimately President Obama should be held accountable for his many poor selections to his cabinet. I find it amazing the American tried to impeach Bill Clinton for having oral sex with a campaign worker, while Obama list of violations to the Constitution goes unchallenged.

Please be mindful in every election of how your vote affects our entire way of life in America due to the appointments he made.

Education and Indoctrination

In my early times as a youngster, not much was said to us about Marxism, Socialism, or Communism. It was only that these types of governments were bad, or only in 3rd world countries. They were out to takes us over, and therefore, we needed to have a strong army and lots of atomic bombs. Now-a-days thing are a little different in what we teach our kids and talk amongst each other.

In a few weeks a textbook analysis report entitled "Education or Indoctrination?" will be released. Here’s just one example of what will soon appear in the textbooks in Grades 6-12 in all public schools:

When dealing with the 9/11 terrorist attack, the textbooks routinely omit any reference to the fact that the terrorists were Muslims or that they were acting in the cause of Islamic jihad. Imagine textbooks in 1951 teaching about the attack on Pearl Harbor and neglecting to mention that the attack was perpetrated by the Japanese Imperial Navy.

Most recently, I've heard a lot from the media and our educators about how we should tone down our attitude toward socialism because America is not a socialist country. Now retired General Boykin, who planned and successfully directed the troops which led to the movie "Black Hawk Down, has publicly stated his concerns about America's future.

The General's study of Marxism (just one away from socialism) over the years has led him to realize, that each country overtaken by Marxism share the same fundamentals, and these things are being done in America today.

He says they have ALL moved to nationalize major sectors of the economy. And that is exaxtly what our recent "bailouts" were. They have moved to redistribute wealth. Now we have certainly heard that over and over from President Obama. Fidel Castro did the same in 1960 Cuba. Health care is nothing but a redistribution of wealth.

The over takers also strive to discredit their opposition any way they can. The Department of Homeland Security announced that the future threats to America lie mostly upon "Right Wing Christian Groups," "Pro-Life Groups," and "Returning Veterans." Yet, it never mentioned the threat of Islamic extremists? Give me a break! That is discrediting the opposition, the very groups that will stand against socialism.

The over takers impose censorship. Most of our public media, Hollywood, and Educators already support socialism, so there is only a need to stop FOX News, our Pastors, and blogs such as mine. Hate crime legislation is actually targeted at Pastors so that they don't speak against things like Gay relationships, birth control, or about Islam and it's danger to America.

In every Marxist take over, gun ownership had to be controlled. President Obama has publicly said that he will sign the United Nations Small Arm Treaty, which give gives an international authority to govern how we buy, sell, and control our private weapons.

And like Hitler did in Nazi Germany, and they way it is today in Venezuela, the over takes establish an internal force, separate from the military to control the domestic population. If you recall, during Obama's Presidential campaign for years ago, he outlined his plan to establish a National Civilian Security Force that would be as large as the United States Army, and I can assure you that is already being developed today.

America today is following the same paths of other countries that were taken to Marxism.
