A Time to Listen

.
You know, I encourage you all to listen to me so that I may share with you the truth, wisdom, and insight that I have. You see, I do know most everything and have an opinion on most everything I don't know.

Well, as I've been travelling these past few months, I've learned even more about listening. I've tried listening to others a few times now, and I've concluded that listening to your adult children is usually not the best thing to do as long as you still have some control of your mind.

One daughter dug out a favorite kitchen gadget to help prepare the dinner salad just the other night. The gadget is intended to spin dry the salad greens after rinsing them. A novel idea I guess, but I don't see the value of it over simply shaking the water off in a strainer. But anyway, she couldn't get the gadget to work and asked me to figure out what was wrong with it as it worked perfectly fine the last time (Who knows when that was. She doesn't even eat salad!)

Anyway, after taking a quick look at it, I noticed there was a part apparently missing that engaged the basket to a drive wheel to cause it to spin when a lever was pumped. She gave me a disgusted look, told me that I was wrong, and that simple air pressure from the lever action caused the basket to turn. Oh, well, we set the thing aside and rinsed the salad the old fashion way. A few days later, she called to say she found the missing part and the gadget works fine, but never offered an apology.

And then, as we were nearing the next place to visit, my wife's son called to give us a shorter rout. Now, keeping in mind that the GPS we had followed over the past 1263 miles from Oregon up to the last 15 miles of his place went without a glitch. But, he had a better way. One which he promised would save us 10 minutes. Ten Minutes, I thought. Geez after driving a cumulative 27 hours, you would think that I would jump on that. And I did!! Turned out to be seven miles of construction zone traffic jammed with Christmas shoppers. You gotta be kidding me!

So, I have concluded that I will never follow the advice of my kids until they begin feeding me with a spoon, and wiping my butt. Until then, I'll aways be suspicious of their advice, and not bend over when they ask.

Hope you all had a nice holiday, in whatever tradition you have. But for me it was a Wonder Christmas.

Well be home soon. So be ready!

The Honorable Thing

.
As I travel through the different states, I like to read the auto license plates to see all the different types that are available for people to buy and so they can express themselves. And, I think it's a good thing because at least some of the fees help support their chosen cause.

For me, I stick with the standard, no frills, issue. And in Oregon, that's very ugly. School bus yellow with black letters.

So yesterday, I saw a plate in Colorado that had a title below the license plate number stating, HONORABLY DISCHARGED VETERAN." Loving our Country and being a Patriot,my first thought was "How Cool."

But with further thought, I asked myself, "But isn't that what is expected of our armed forces?" Is it too much to ask that they uphold the law, maintain high standards and ethics, and do a good job for the length of time they promised?

Here is my point: What we really need is a plate reading "DISHONORABLY DISCHARGED VETERAN, which should be issued to anyone that couldn't cut the mustard. They should be forced to display it so that all the rest of us know who they are. Be a fool, coward, thief, deserter or anything else that gets one kicked out of the armed forces, we need to know about it so that we can disrespect you for disgracing our country.

Only then will we be able to truly respect and appreciate those that deserve it.

Escape from Reality

.
Visiting with my grandchildren reminded me that I don't have much of an imagination. In fact, I guess I don't have any. It's next to impossible for me to understand the fantasy stories that I read to my four year old grand daughter. Stories that I read one right after the other about magical dragons, oddly colored flying creatures, space beings, and talking plants and animals. And then taking her to the latest 3D movie about a beautiful lost princess with a head full of healing hair confused me even more.

Don't get me wrong, I love bonding with her and listening about an imaginary friend. But, I just don't understand it.

In Those Days, my interests were only in things like science, math or history. Real things, you know. When I had a dream it was never about things like flying carpets, horses with wings, or super heroes. Mine were about my family, people I knew, and visiting real places that I had read about in books. I had no fantasies, and no nightmares.

For me, things have not changed over the years. I know what is real and I have no use for that which is not. Real is reality and I respect it. At times, I fear reality but I don't hide from it. Rather than run, I confront it.

And I share it with my followers. So when you visit this site, you will only have a visit with reality. It is real here. Take it. Learn. Join in. But, if you want everything politically correct, green, or sugar coated, you'll have to go elsewhere.

Now hurry, there are still 7 shopping days left.

Firsts

.
Do you ever wonder why first time experiences in you life seem to always stand out in your memory? They were not always the best, but more that they were different that makes them unforgettable.

The first day of school, the first day of retirement. Your first bicycle, your first kiss. Your first pair of black Levis and your first turtle neck shirt. Your first child's birth and the first time you lost a loved one. You get the picture.

Well, on the Day of Infamy, I received our first Christmas card of the Season. And it was different. Unlike I've ever received before. And I'll remember it always.

First because it was the first. December 7th. That's the earliest I've ever received a card. And second, it was a real card, with a real stamp that a post man delivered, unlike the multitude of electronic cards I get over the Internet.

On the red envelope was our address, hand written in blue ink, with a pre-printed return address label neatly placed on the top left (that's not odd). Inside the envelope was a greeting from Santa announcing Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas! from a sleigh pulled by Rudolph (That's not odd). And below the sleigh was the word "Love" hand written in black ink (That's a little odd because it was addressed in black ink, but not the bell ringer). And there was no money in it (and that is a little odd).

Here is what is odd. So odd and different that I will remember it forever. Beneath the word "Love" were two different pre-printed, self-sticking address labels; one each for the husband and wife team that sent the card!

Now that was an odd card and I just don't get it. What's with the addy stickers instead of a signature. Was it some form of being green to reuse, reclaim, or recycle sticker thus keeping them out of our landfills and reduce carbon emissions? Was it a used card that the sender received last year with the stickers attached to cover the previous sender's signature? Or was it just pure laziness on the part of the person that sent it to me?

Maybe some one out there has the answer. Maybe the sender will read this blog and leave a comment. Maybe I'll just never know. But the Card was another "First" in my life. One that I can not forget!

Thanks for the memory.

Now Mothers (and fathers), tell your Children

.
In Those Days, parents tried to pass on everything they knew to their children. You know, basic things that we seem to take for granted. Mothers taught the kids how to cook, especially foods that don't come with instructions such as toast and eggs. And fathers taught things like checking the oil level and tire pressures in the family car.

Kids were taught the value of saving for the future, to respect cops and teachers, how and when to fight, to mow the lawn and to do the laundry, and to tie their shoes. They learned how to change a diaper and feed the baby (if only on their doll), to walk the dog, to tell time on a clock with hands, and to mend their clothes. Parents taught them how to play with one another, to accept criticism, and that life was not easy nor always fair.

So, was all that necessary? Did parents waste their time? Today, most of our kids go out for breakfast or just skip it all together. And they pay a mechanic to replace their tires and fix their engines after they run them flat or out of oil.

Our kids don't save for the future but pay in the future with credit. They run from the cops and threaten their teachers. They pay illegal immigrants to do the landscaping and their laundry, and they don't even bother to tie the laces on their high-top sneakers. They hire nannies to sit their children, but never walk the dog, and they throw away their clothes if they tear. Clocks talk now and kids can only fight with guns if someone makes fun of them.

And I wonder how they even survive.

Cowboys and Indians

.
In Those Days, everyone (even girls) played war games. We built forts to launch our attacks. In the summer, the forts were hidden along trails in the woods and during the winter they were made of snow and blended into the terrain of the frozen fields. From those forts, we would pounce on our enemy. We were always the good guys; cowboys, soldiers, pirates, and sometimes even crusaders. We shot arrows, fired cap guns, had catapults to hurl big snowballs, and sometimes used slingshots or even threw rocks at one another. But no one ever got hurt, except perhaps their feelings.

There were fights at school, but seldom did they amount to anything more than a wrestling match. We called them "rumbles" but nobody ever really got hurt. The losers went home crying, but their parents never called the police. Fathers taught their kids to fight and stand fast against aggressors and for what they believed in. There were no lawsuits, or children committing suicide because they got picked on. But Those Days became taboo.

Things are different today. 30 years of peace and toleration being rammed down our throats. Love your neighbor, never argue your point, but respect his views. Stand back. Don't fight. Tell your parents about how mean you were treated. Tell the cops how your parents or teachers mistreated you. Don't pick on sissies, fat kids, ones with braces, or glasses. Be nice.

Hide in your closets rather than standing publicly for what you believe. But you can play that violent video game using phazers that disintegrate rather than wound your opponent. Make yourself invisible as you begin a nuclear attack. That seemingly innocent suitcase transforms into a creature bent on destruction. Listen to the music praising rape and murder. Give your child a pill so he can cope. Take a pill yourself. Smoke that joint and inject the chemicals deep beneath your skin. Fight the war from within.

See no evil. Hear no evil. Speak no evil. Today, we don't know what evil is, let alone how to stand for what is right. Because we've been taught that everything is alright, and our world is better.

But is it, really?

Ignorant and Irresponsible

.
A while back, I watched a television investigative report about stereotyping. That's what we call "Profiling" today.

The report showed a middle aged White lady cross to the opposite side of the street when her intended path would have taken her past a group of young Blacks. When challenged, she explained that she did so because of a past experience when her purse was snatched by a Black teen. The report claimed that she was bias because she labeled all Blacks as thieves, and shamed her.

Back then, I used to laugh at people who stereotyped all first generation Asians as poor drivers, but later as a traffic cop, I realized there was a bit of truth to it.

Some people stereotyped all American cars as junk because they heard that some of their friends that owned one experienced mechanical difficulties. So they too bought a Toyota.

For generations, people have stereotyped all Catholic priests as perverts. Now there seems to be truth to the rumor as there have been many prosecutions.

And in Los Angeles many people have stereotyped all Mexicans as people who have neither a driver's license or insurance.

Yesterday I noticed a store clerk leave his position at the cash register to watch a group of young White males huddled in the video game section.

And today, many of us have stereotyped all Muslims as terrorists. And there is evidence to support that as well.

Call it stereotyping or profiling, it is the same. Profiling just seems to emphasize it more as being evil. But, what is common in all of these incidents? I'll tell you. They are all based on factual experiences of those that place the labels.

So, is it wrong for a lady to avoid a group of Blacks because another Black stole her purse? Is it wrong for one to avoid Asian drivers because he has witnessed so many times their poor driving skills? Is it wrong to switch to a Honda because your Ford kept breaking down? Is it wrong to hold tightly to your child as you attend mass? Is it wrong to expect a hit and run to happen if a Mexican crashes into you? Is it wrong for a shop owner to watch the group of White teens closer than the granny with her grand daughter? Is it wrong to be suspicious that the Male, Muslim, aged 18-34, in front of you might be plotting an attack against America?

I don't think so. These are all learned experiences and one would be ignorant and irresponsible to ignore them.

Multiculturalism

.
For those that don't know, Germany is Europe's largest, and next to England, is the most influential. German Chancellor (President) Angela Merkel, about a month ago, announced publicly that Germany's "multikulti" concept where people of different backgrounds would live together happily has not worked in Germany.

How is it that such a bold and powerful statement made by a world leader been all but suppressed by the American media? But nothing can block Thought Dock portal and that allows me to share my wisdom with you.

Chancellor Merkel went on to say that beginning of the 1960s, Germany called foreigners to immigrate and assimilate into the country in order to form a diverse multi-cultural society. "We kidded ourselves. This hasn't been reality. The attempt to build a multicultural society and to live side by side and to enjoy each other ... has failed, utterly failed."

Merkel's comments came just days after a study by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation think tank found that more than 30 percent of people believed Germany was "overrun by foreigners" who had come to Germany chiefly for its social benefits. The audience gave her a standing ovation.

Sound familiar? Isn't that exactly what the majority of Americans are feeling about our immigration policies? But those that express those feelings are quickly labeled as racists, radicals, or extremists by the immigrants and liberals alike and are totally ignored by our government.

Close our borders now and evict those that are here illegally!

Have you noticed?

.
Well, the 'Season' is upon us once again. But it is different today from what it has been in recent years. How so?

For the past 20 years or so, most references to religious beliefs during the 'Season' have been removed from use in public areas. Gone were advertisements referencing Christmas, Hanuka, or anything else. And employers disciplined employees for exchanging greetings such as 'Merry Christmas' or 'God bless you' and replaced them with 'Seasons Greetings' or Happy Holidays.'

Gone were Christmas trees, Christmas gifts, Christmas lights, Christmas presents and Christmas parties; only to be renamed with titles less offensive to Atheists and Muslims as stores, government, and employers succumbed to their demands.

But have you noticed the changing of the tide? Christmas is making a huge comeback in stores. Advertising is making it's way back almost everywhere. Greeting cards in Target actually have pictures depicting the birth of Christ

Almost everywhere. But it should be everywhere! Wallets talk. That is why Sears, Target, Walmart and other major retailers have put back Christmas into their stores because of boycotts and such. But there is still work to be done.

Radio Shack, Barnes & Noble, Dick's Sporting Goods and Staples are still holding out because their corporate executives are infested with Atheist and Islamic beliefs alike. They don't believe in Christmas because they can not recognize Christ. So why should they profit in something they can't accept? Boycott them. Let them sell their crap to ones of their own like and see if they can survive!

Merry Christmas, May God bless you, celebrate in your own way; But don't mess with mine!

No exam necessary

.
As I recall, in the mid 1970’s California reduced the penalty for simple possession of marijuana from a felony to a misdemeanor, and then a few years later to an infraction which was nothing more than a citation. And then they approved a Medical Marijuana law, which was presented as a pain treatment for terminally ill persons. And soon after, the law was broadened to allow the use of the weed for most any other reason if prescribed by a doctor.

So, while visiting the Los Angeles area recently, I happened by a medical marijuana dispensary, and I noticed a doctor’s office right next door with a huge sign reading, "Marijuana Prescriptions Here. No exam necessary." And, then on the local news, I heard the Mayor announced that he favored the licensing of about 500 new business of this kind in the City of Angeles. What a farce!

Some of you know that in the past I have advocated legalizing all narcotics, so I really don’t give a crap about this marijuana stuff, which will soon be legalized for everyone anyway.

But, I use this only as an example of how when we give in a little, the liberals take more and more. The basic fundamental values of which America was founded upon are systematically being taken from us by the liberal minority of our country simply because the moral majority allows it.

I sure wish that more of you would think, so that I could have at least have something in common with you!

Author Unknown

.

Holy Crap! This is simply the best written article about America. It was stated that the artical originated from within the Czech Republic, so the author is likely not an American and is anonymous. I wish I could take credit for it, but it arrived through the Thought Dock portal from an avid follower.

"The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president.

The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America . Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool.

It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president."

What part of being "Illegal" gives them rights?

.
Recently the California Supreme Court ruled that illegal aliens have the same rights to attend any California State college at the same tuition as any other resident of the State. Even an American from another state can't do that!

San Francisco politicians have not only made their city a "Safe Haven City" to all illegal aliens, but now have granted illegal aliens the right to vote in their local elections. And, several other states either have, or are trying to enact similar laws.

What gives California? How does anyone while still dripping wet, emerge running from the gutter into our country, have the right to attend our colleges?

And how is it that illegals have the right to vote, even in a local election. How is it that illegal aliens have the right to protest in our streets, wave their flag, burn ours, while they threaten us and demand to remain in this country?

Their right to attend college will only lessen the opportunity for a legal resident to receive a decent education. Californians are already footing the costs for the illegals children's primary education and their medical care. And their children born here are even entitled to state welfare. Now they will vote to elect their own mayor, judges, and police chief to even further their goals.

It was well predicted years ago that the cost of illegal immigration would bankrupt California, all to save a few bucks for gardeners, housekeepers and cheaper produce. California is broke and has gone to the wolves. They will be screaming to the rest of us to bail them out. I hope not!

It's too late for California to wake up. It is lost. And it could happen to the rest of us us if we sleep much longer.

Footprints

.
In Those Days, we were poor. I knew that because Mom told me. And I knew it because we didn't own our own home, wore mostly hand-me-downs, had fewer toys, and almost never ate out like most of my other friends did. Pop usually had a second job and Mom made as many of our clothes that she could, and we shared their toys with each other, well some of the time.

But we had class. Mom said we were lower-middle class, and that was a stretch. Not due to race, but financial class. Mom said the wealthy class all got college educations and therefor got jobs like doctors or lawyers. And the poor class were destined to work in the fields doing manual labor and such. She said that our family was just above that line and that with a little luck, we could be what she called "semi-skilled" and have jobs like cops, mechanics, factory workers, and clerks.

Mom loved us, but she didn't sugar coat things. She said what it was, while giving a glimmer of hope to us that through hard work we might get to go to college and get that white collar job. And what she said was exactly what came to be.

One of her children actually graduated from college, two went to trade schools, and the rest attended some college classes. But there we remained, in the middle class, just a click of destiny away from being poor.

I think it was better the way Mom prepared us. A bit of encouragement, but no false hopes. Never telling us we would be President someday, or an astronaut, a doctor, or a professional athlete, but just stars, each in our own way.

Yeah, I know anything is possible in America. Like Abe Lincoln, the Long Legged MacMuslim did it. Some achieve their ambitions, but most don't. And for parents to convince their children that they will get fame and riches, is a false promise that leads to their collapse when they realize dreams won't be fulfilled.

So, how did Mom know?
.

Did you hear us now?

.
Well. Mr. Long Legged MacMuslim, did you hear us? Do you realize that we removed from office, both Democrat and Republican, a whole bunch of polititians that supported your failed policies? Do you you realize now that you will be only a single-term President, and only if we don't impeach you before? Do you realize that in two more years even more of your like will be removed.

Do you realize that? Somehow, I don't think you do. I think you heard the voters clearly, but like you did with healthcare, I fear that you will again reject our will, and continue to do things your own way. Please don't do that. Listen to us. Step down while you still have a life.

Your own supporters have woke up and spoken. Even in the most socialist states, the ones that carried you to fame, even California have turned against you. In 2 years it will be all over. Nore more Pelosi or Holder, or the rest of the socialists and Muslims that you've placed in your cabinet.

A change you will then believe in.

All in the Family?

.
Just before heading out the other day in the Wheeled Manor to revisit the northern Oregon coast, we stopped by Micky D's for a sausage burrito or two. I stayed in the Manor while my Partner for Life (PFL) headed inside for the goodies.

As my PFL walked toward the entrance, I noticed a stranger leaning against a car in the lot. The car had out of State plates on it and he was about 30 or so. The car looked decent, but was packed with possessions. He looked clean, but probably would enjoy a hot shower.

When my PFL passed by, the stranger approached her. I watched as my PFL did exactly as trained, and raised her flat palm toward him much like a cop would direct a car to stop. He just walked away from her and later drove off without trying his luck with anyone else. I was proud of my PFL.

But, I couldn't help to wonder more about that guy. He certainly was begging, but he didn't appear to be a career beggar. He seemed to be travelling, or perhaps homeless, but he was new at the game. I wondered where were his parents, or his siblings, or his friends. Did they know what he was doing, or that he could use some help? Would they, or could they, have helped him if they did know? Or does he even want, or would he accept help from his family?

The incident made me reflect back some 25 years ago to a time when I met a woman while patrolling MacArthur Park in Los Angeles. She was in her late 60's and I considered her "elderly" because I was still pretty young at the time. She was pushing a shopping cart with all her worldly possessions from a cluster of bushes where she slept.

I stopped to chat and inquired about her family. She was proud and boasted about her son who was a doctor at UCLA Medical Center, a pretty prestigious place not so far away. So I asked when she last saw him. "Well, it's been almost a year. Last Mother's Day, I think. It was when he brought me a new blanket." I remember that as vivid as the many other contact I've had that you think are more exciting.

But, because I remember it so well, doesn't mean that I understand it. How can a parent, child or sibling not help when they realize their mother, brother or son is living on the street? How can a child let a parent live in the park, just minutes from his estate? Or, do they think it is the State's responsibility to support their family?

I just don't get it. Only in America, but not at the Thought Dock. Family should be the first responders.

Tides are Changin'

.
Yes, all the leaves are brown and the tide is gray. So, with the autum leaves changing colors and falling to the ground, so go the ones that elected the Long Legged MacDaddy.

We never hear very much of them any more. They are all voting against what they elected. But just who were they? They won't even admit that they are them! And for me, they will always be them.

I'm glad they have changed their minds. That they have woke up and realized the damage they have done. And that they are ousting those that they elected to office.

But you know what? They will flip-flop, tick-tock like a clock, and like the Israel in Those Days, they will make the same mistakes again in some distant future and will again have to be punished.

Sittin' on the Dock of the Lake watching the tide turn away. Loving life and floating my own boat.

What's in a name?

.
In Those Days, I knew him as Casius Clay. He was on his way to becomming a champion boxer after knocking the daylights out of everyone he fought in the Olympics. Then, overnight he became the more famous Muhommad Ali. That was crazy, but it was the first time ever that I heard about converting to Islam. The only benefit I saw from it is that it was a way out of serving your country. But whose country? After all it was the 60's and Vietnam was building.

And in the 70's, it was Lew Alcindar who became Kareem Abdul-Jabar. As time passed Malcom Little became Malcom X, Cat Stevens became Yusaf Islam, and Malik el-Shabazz (he would flip flop between them), boxing stars Matt Franklin switched to Saad Muhommed, Dwight Braxton to Muhammed Qawi, Eddie Gregory swapped for Mustapha Muhommed, and Chris Jackson went for Muhommed Abdul-Rauf.

Just like the popular kid's toy "Transformers" one could instantly swap religions, change his name, and become a different person. And they did. They were drastically different after converting to Islam. Even more violent than they were before.

Many more followed suit. Michael Jackson in 2003, the author Michael Wolfe, and lots more. Some were given Islamic names at birth like Shaquile O'Neal. This list could go on and on. And I hope it does because it make it all that much easier for me to identify the enemy.

Personally, I prefer the name David.

You've not tasted all my cookin'

.
Everybody loves a good cook. But in today's world of technology, being a good is not rocket science. All one needs is the right recipe, which all good cooks are anxious to share. The key is selecting the right recipe. And picking the wrong one leads to disaster.

So, here's how you do it. Start with the Chef who is offering the recipe. For example, if you're wanting an apple pie, you probably might not look seriously at an Asian chef. Or if you're craving spaghetti, don't look in a Cajun cookbook. Next look at the ingredients and the spices in particular that you think will tickle your taste buds. In other words, if your wanting a succulent steak, don't look for ingredients such as scallops, shrimp and a pesto sauce. It's all pretty easy if you think about things before you run to that grocery store. But, remember, if you do make a mistake, start over with a brand new recipe with a different set of ingredients.

Well folks, knowing who to vote for is just like cooking up a feast you can be proud of. And, it is apparent that too many of you haven't done that during the last 30 years or so. So, without putting my spin into your minds, I'll explain it again.

The political party is like the master chef. If you're looking for sensible taxes, free enterprise, lower taxes, and fewer social programs, don't look in the Democrat cookbook. The candidate is like the main ingredient. If he has no documented past, then how can you be sure of what he will be? Pork can be tenderloin, but can also be ham hocks. Stick with what you know is good. The candidate's background and promises are like the spices in a recipe. A Halfblack Muslim, with no experience, who promises to have free health care for all, but with lower premium rates, is like adding Jalapeno peppers to a seafood gumbo seasoned with Tabasco.

And finally, look at who is sponsoring the candidate. If Pelosi or Biden appear in your community to campaign for someone you've never heard of, or has no voting record, or no experience.....you can be rest assured that his views are exactly like those of his supporters.

Local elections seem to be the most difficult to make the correct choice because most of the candidates are unknown and have no real experience. But thin before you vote for an ex-con for Sheriff, a cop might be the better choice. The homeless shelter president running for your city council, or the public defender running for Judge? Perhaps your would consider their opponent.

Now, the most important thing to remember is, if once you have prepared your meal from the recipe you chose, and it gags you at first bite............spit it out!!! If they have lied about their campaign promises, or not represented your views, don't forgive them. Don't just keep trying to swallow the failures in the decisions you've made! If in doubt, vote them out!

Your wise vote will make a difference in just a few more days!

Religion, Ethics, and Morals

.
In Those Days I was a cop in Los Angeles. Yeah, over 30 years of pounding the beat in a City of 5-Million. During the place and time where Adam-12 and Police Story were the talk of the country. From the poverty of Watts to the wealth of Beverly Hills. I was there and I will never forget.

And many that I meet today can't wait to ask, "What was it like?" or "Have you ever....?" And to most of their questions I think to myself, "Yeah, I've been there!" But seldom do I tell the stories that they like to hear, and talk mostly in generality.

And so it will be today. I've been shot at, but never shot anyone. I've kicked some ass, but never had my ass kicked. I've chased fleeing cars but have never been chased. I've ran toward the sound of an explosion while everyone else was running away. I've stood face to face with an angry mob, but never was a part of a mob. And I've cradled some, but have not been cradled. I have recognized heroes, but I am not a hero myself. Surely I have seen more than most, and I have learned from what I have seen.

Not to brag, but to put things in perspective, as a conservative estimate, I have arrested or cited about 10-Thousand people in during my time as a cop, not to mention the untold number of the ones that should have been arrested. And, I've encountered hundreds of thousands of people that were victims, witnesses, and the like. And, a good portion (thankfully) of all the people I've encountered were religious.

From my perspective, most people that are religion, also have have ethics, values and morals. They are the foundation of America. And, I say this because they tend to govern themselves, and peacefully resolve their disputes. That is essential in a civilized world. For with out it, chaos thrives.

Of the thousands of people that I've arrested, only a few handfuls were religious. I find that incredible. Now although I follow a specific religious doctrine, I'm talking about religion in general. Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, Mormons, and all the rest. EXCEPT ... Muslims.
ALL Muslims.....(at least the ones I've encountered as a cop).

I have encountered plenty of Muslims. They seem to be the ones that generally will not peacefully coexist with anyone that has a different belief. I have noticed that their morals and ethics are lacking when compared to the general American population. They are difficult to reason with and more often than not, are intolerant of anything other than their way. Hot tempers (even more than Italians), more fraud, corruption, theft, cheating, and violence is rampant in their culture. And they contribute little to the American culture. Surprised? It's against their doctrine.

Well, I know this was not the "Cop Story" you were expecting, but it is what I've seen. And, it is what it is.

Paddle your own kayak and have a great day!

Here they Come

.
Well, more of the same.. I haven't blogged in a while, but it has been even longer since I've blogged about where the MacMuslim is taking our country.

Obama just appointed two devout Muslims to homeland security posts. He and Janet Napolitano appointed Arif Alikhan, a devout Muslim, as Assistant Secretary for Policy Development.

And then, Napolitano selected Kareem Shora, a devout Muslim, who was born in Damascus, Syria, as ADC National Executive Director as a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council.

Has anyone ever heard a new government official being identified as a devout Catholic, a devout Jew or a devout Protestant...? Just wondering. The MacMuslim seems to be proud of these appointments and wants to boast about the Muslims he is placing all around the country.

Muslims appointed to critical Homeland Security positions? Now doesn't this make you feel safer already?? Was it not "Devout Muslim men" that flew planes into U.S. buildings 8 1/2 years ago? Was it not a Devout Muslim who killed 13 at Fort Hood ?

And at the same time the MacMuslim has been trying to convince us that he was brought up on a Christian faith, yet he is the only President in history to never have attended church (of any denomination) while in office.

Hold on tight. He is destroying private business as he strives to personally take control of every phase of America. He has increased our debit, raised our taxes, ruined what health care we had, and given us away to the communist and Muslim controlled world, while all the while breaking his campaign promises.

Who voted for this devil? Where were you? I was anti MacDaddy well before it was popular to do so. But I won't say "I told you so!" The important thing to do is pick your ignorant ass up (if you were one that elected him) and get him out!

And the Difference is...

.
I'm not an expert by any means in religious theology, but I think I have some of the basics. Now, did you know that Muslims don't believe that Jews are the chosen people, and Jews don't believe that Jesus is our Savior, and the Protestants don't recognize the Pope as the leader of the Christians.

Now these disputes have gone on since the earliest times of recorded history. And at times the disputes have been violent. But, with the advent of modern times, and in the modern world, and with modern culture, these disputes have become less violent, with ONE EXCEPTION; And that exception lies with the MUSLIMS.

You see, every nation, every culture, every religion in this modern world works to improve the world (in their eyes anyway), through their contributions and efforts toward peace, EXCEPT the MUSLIMS.

Jews don't strap bombs to their children and attack anyone to advance their ways, and I've never heard of a Christian indiscriminately killing Jews, or a Protestant trying to kill the Pope, or a Catholic murdering Muslims or Buddhists to get their point across. Not so with the Muslims.

Here is but a few incidents in recent history of what Muslims have done to others that don't support their views; In 1968 Bobby Kennedy was shot and killed by a Muslim. In 1972, Olympic athletes in Munich were kidnapped and massacred by a group of Muslims. In 1979, the US embassy in Iran was taken over by Muslims. During the 1980's a number of Americans were kidnapped in Lebanon by Muslims. In 1983, the US Marine barracks in Beirut was blown up by Muslims. In 1985 a cruise ship was hijacked and a 70 year old American passenger was murdered and thrown overboard in his wheelchair by a Muslim. In 1985 TWA flight 847 was hijacked at Athens, and a US Navy diver trying to rescue passengers was murdered by a Muslim. In 1988, Pan Am Flight 103 was bombed by a Muslim. In 1993 the World Trade Center was bombed the first time by a Muslim. In 1998, the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania were bombed by Muslims. On 9/11/01, Muslims flew hijacked planes into the World Trade Center and Pentagon, killing thousands. In 2002 the United States fought a war in Afghanistan against and Iraq against Muslims. In 2002 reporter Daniel Pearl was kidnapped and murdered by a Muslim. And in In 2009, 31 people wounded and 13 American Soldiers were murdered at Fort Hood by a Muslim. The shoe bomber was a Muslim. The Christmas Day bomber was a Muslim. Need I go on?

But let's look at what the Muslims have contributed to society in roughly the same period. Of the 1.2 BILLION Muslims in the world, they have received 7 Nobel Peace awards. In comparison of the 14 MILLION Jews in the world, 129 have received Nobel Awards. Why is it that although Muslims account for 20% of the world population can not contribute as much as the Jews have with only .002%? The facts speak for themselves, yet Mr. Obama ignores everyone else but congratulates the Muslims for their contributions.

No one but the Muslims are brain washing children and teaching them how to blow themselves up along with non Muslims. No one hijack planes, kill athletes, or blow themselves up in restaurants like the Muslims do. No one but the Muslims promote the destruction of churches, makes their protests by killing people, or call for the death of anyone who don't believe in their way.

And Folks, that is the difference.............

It's even worse

.
I'm really not sure what Bonsai means. I know it's a miniature Japanese tree, but even before I knew that, we as kids would scream "Bonsai" as we charged into a situation with all we had; all the gusto. Bonsai, right or wrong it was sort of a kamikaze attack to me. You know, like the suicide planes laden with bombs that were flown into our WWII troops in their failed efforts to win the war.

Anyway, I made a banzai run to Southern California recently. A matter of necessity you know. If it wasn't, I would probably had never gone. What a place, and aside from a few family and friends, and a medical need, I would likely never ever go. It's crazy!

Couldn't help but watch the feud between Jerry Brown and Meg Whitman, who are both trying to take the Governor's race to replace the "Terminator." Brown, if you don't know was a single term governor who really drove the state to the brink of destruction. And, Meg is a former CEO (HP I think, but perhaps E-bay).

So, Jerry finds out that Meg had an illegal alien as a housekeeper and makes a big deal out of it, even though she paid the wetback $23 an hour for 8 years and found her through an employment agency. So ironic. You see California, as a whole, wants to legalize wetbacks and refuses to control the border while they boycott the states that do.

A 40 mile freeway trek to the doctor took us over two hours in the morning. State tax is nearing 10%. Signs written in Spanish, and the "Blue Light Specials" are announced in a foreign language only. Walmart stock more guavas than apples, and Caucasians are the minority!

Beemers, Hummers, and custom Harleys rule the roads. Escalades are for Soccer Moms and to make runs to Gelson's for groceries, and they never get dusty. Gas well above 3 bucks, and Mexicans, Muslims, and maniacs everywhere you turn. Police chases, sirens, and 113 degree heat. A river lined with concrete that provides a way for beer cans and plastic trash bags to wash to the ocean. Gone are the pristine beaches. And RV parks that cost more than hotels?

SoCal was good to me in Those Days. Not so any longer. It is torture to me. But I will go back because I have to. Another doctor's visit in a few weeks or so. A time for a few visits with family (and BK, you weren't home this time but I'll try again next time).

Kinda Surprising

.
I must say that I am somewhat surprised that every one of you that took the poll, "Does Yesterday Matter" voted unanimously that it does. But I still wonder whether everyone actually thinks it does all the time, or did some of you that thought otherwise simply not vote?

Examine the odds of hitting the lottery. Let's say the odds are set mathematically at 1 in 5 million to win. So, on Tuesday some lucky one hits the jackpot. The odds of it happening again don't change, so it is just as likely that someone could hit it on Wednesday. So, in this instance "Yesterday" didn't matter.

Does it matter who won the Superbowl 13 years ago if the same two teams are matched up this year? I think not.

Now, as someone intelligently commented on the prior post, that Yesterday can matter if we learn from it and use what we learned to guide us in our choices of Today. So true!

The fact that two nukes killed tens of thousands of civilians has prevented any future use of that weapon. And what Hitler did is his day, directed America's actions against Saddam Hussein. And like the other commenter said, America's choice of the Long Legged MacDaddy two years ago will dictate future elections.

Well, thanks for participating. I hope it inspired your thought process.

Does Yesterday Matter?

.
As every moment passes it becomes part of history and each completed day becomes yesterday. But does yesterday really matter?

Does it matter now that Adam ate fruit that was forbidden? Does it matter now that the Jews escaped from enslavement in Egypt, or that Moses read them the Ten Commandments?

Does it matter now that America was settled by people seeking freedom, or that someone in your family tree immigrated here from somewhere else? Does it matter now that people from Africa were brought here as slaves, but were later freed?

Does it matter now what Adolf Hitler did in 70 years ago, or how Japan brought us into World War II? What about the killing of thousands of civilians with two atomic bombs, or by four hijacked airplanes many years later?

Does it matter now whether you were the first in your family to obtain a college education, or the firstborn son to carry on the family name? Does it matter now that your best friend died in the war, or that you lost a sibling far too soon?

Does it matter now if you took a single semester of drafting in high school, or that you forgot Mother’s Day so many times? Does it matter now if you ever raised a chicken, owned a pet, or planted a garden?

Would it matter now if your home was destroyed by a flood or fire, or lost to foreclosure. Does it matter now if you smoked dope a long time ago, or that you sang a song with your child?

Some say, "That was Yesterday, and Yesterday is gone." What say you? Take the poll to the left.

Islamic History 101

.
As we delve back in time a bit, let's look at the threat of Islam to America beyond the context of terrorism, which most of you seem not to understand.

Islam’s history has shown that there is symbolism in choosing where mosques are built. Muslims don't just pick any old place. Past history records that mosques are built on sites of military victories, where Islam can celebrate their triumph over all other religions.

A mosque was built in Jerusalem right on top of King Solomon’s Temple. A mosque in Damascus was built over the church of St. John the Baptist. And there are thousands of mosques built on the footprints of Hindu Temples in India.

Although America does not have a single predominant religion, Muslims believe our “religion” is capitalism, taking down the World Trade Center was like the conquering Constantinople. And, there is no doubt in my mind that building a mosque near Ground Zero in Islam's trophy over the infidels in America.

Muslims all over the world will celebrate the great victory and use it to build even more hatred against us while recruiting for jihad. And so their threat against America will be even greater.

Take a closer look at the reality that Islamic ideology. It is fundamentally against all values of liberty and justice as practiced in America. Examine sharia law, which is what Muslims are striving to obtain world wide (if you need help, comment and I'll give your Sharia Law 101).

Some people in America, but not nearly enough, are standing against building a mosque at Ground Zero out of respect for the 9/11 victims, but that is not my only concern. Morley, I am concerned about the advance of Islam in America. It is our fastest growing religion. It is overtaking our prisons, invading our schools, and controlling our government. It needs to stop!

You must realize that the same ideology that produces a terrorist, also produces what some people call a moderate Muslim who is dedicated to the advancement and imposition of sharia law. They differ only in the means to the end, not the end itself.

They are all evil.

Base to Bus Two

.
In Those days, I can't remember ever taking a bus to or from school. I guess we lived either close enough to walk or ride a bicycle. But I did ride a school bus a few times on a field trip or to a sports event.

Things are different today. Now I am a school bus driver, well actually a substitute drive for the time being. And I made my first route just the other day. I guess retired folks are constantly trying to find ways to enjoy the rest of this temporary life. Some turn to gardening, or wood working, or painting, and even golf. Not me... I wanted to be a school bus driver!

I was called to do the afternoon route. It's the one that you pick up the students at the schools and transport them home. It's different from the morning route because the stops are obvious when you see the kids waiting at the curb. And they are all sleepy and bummed that that have to go to school. So the sit quietly for the duration of the trip. It is almost easy.

Not so in the afternoon. Then, they are all fired up. About 80 of them. Can't wait to get home after being cooped up all day. They are loud. They are excited. They shout. Some fight and argue, and some try to talk to the driver as he tries to spot the next stop. And on top of that, you have your boss on the radio trying to iron out the kinks.

"Base to Bus Two. A parent reports that her child didn't get off at her designated stop. Do you still have Tina, a kindergarten student on board?" So, over the noise of the students, the traffic, and trying to spot the next drop site, I have to locate Tina. Well, she wasn't there. I didn't have any kindergartners. So the boss demands that I pull off and check rather than just making an announcement over the bus intercom, while looking in that huge rear view mirror.

So I did, and as the bus came to a stop, a kid screams, "Hey mister, my house is way back there!" So by then, I still had no Tina, but I did have another kid who's stop was a quarter mile back, and about 60 more that just wanted to get home.

Well, I survived. They survived. Tina was on Bus 9 like she was supposed to be, and the other kid had to wait until my route was finished before I returned to his stop.

Tough job, but some body has to do it. Support your local school bus driver.

Let's talk about Race

.
Patrick J. Buchanan asked me to help spread the word. It seems that the Long Legged MacDaddy is encouraging Americans to have a conversation about race. So here it is! He writes:

Fair enough. But this time, it has to be a two-way conversation. White America needs to be heard from, not just lectured to. This time, the Silent Majority needs to have its convictions, grievances and demands heard. And among them are these:

First, America has been the best country on earth for black folks. It was here that 600,000 black people, brought from Africa in slave ships, grew into a community of 40 million, were introduced to Christian salvation, and reached the greatest levels of freedom and prosperity blacks have ever known. Reverend Wright ought to go down on his knees and thank God he is an American.

Second, no people anywhere has done more to lift up blacks than white Americans. Untold trillions have been spent since the ' 60s on welfare, food stamps, rent supplements, Section 8 housing, Pell grants, student loans, legal services, Medicaid, Earned Income Tax Credits and poverty programs designed to bring the African-American community into the mainstream.

Governments, businesses and colleges have engaged in discrimination against white folks -- with affirmative action, contract set-asides and quotas -- to advance black applicants over white applicants.

Churches, foundations, civic groups, schools and individuals all over America have donated their time and money to support soup kitchens, adult education, day care, retirement and nursing homes for blacks.

We hear the grievances. Where is the gratitude? Barack talks about new 'ladders of opportunity' for blacks. Let him go to Altoona ? And Johnstown , and ask the white kids in Catholic schools how many were visited lately by Ivy League recruiters handing out scholarships for 'deserving' white kids...?

Is white America really responsible for the fact that the crime and incarceration rates for African-Americans are seven times those of white America ? Is it really white America 's fault that illegitimacy in the African-American community has hit 70 percent and the black dropout rate from high schools in some cities has reached 50 percent? Is that the fault of white America or, first and foremost, a failure of the black community itself?

As for racism, its ugliest manifestation is in interracial crime, and especially interracial crimes of violence. Is Barack Obama aware that while white criminals choose black victims 3 percent of the time, black criminals choose white victims 45 percent of the time? Is Barack aware that black-on-white rapes are 100 times more common than the reverse, that black-on-white robberies were 139 times as common in the first three years of this decade as the reverse?

We have all heard ad nauseam from the Rev. Al about Tawana Brawley, the Duke rape case and Jena . And all turned out to be hoaxes. But about the epidemic of black assaults on whites that are real, we hear nothing.

Sorry, Barack, some of us have heard it all before, about 40 years and 40 trillion tax dollars ago. This needs to be passed around because, this is a message everyone needs to hear!!!

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Entirely Irrelevant

.
I'm not sure who the author of the following article is. It was one of many that was filtered through the Thought Dock portal and it drives home the message of many of my prior posts.
The references to past history are accurate and clear.

Aman, whose family was German aristocracy prior to World WarII, owned a number of large industries and estates. When asked how many German people were true Nazis, the answer he gave can guide our attitude toward fanaticism.

A German's View

Very few people were true Nazis, but many enjoyed the return of German pride, and many more were too busy to care. I was one of those who just thought the Nazis were a bunch of fools. So, the majority just sat back and let it all happen. Then, before we knew it, they owned us, we had lost control, and our world ended.

We are told again and again by "experts" and the "talking heads" 'that Islam is the religion of peace and that the vast majority of Muslims just want to live in peace. Although this unqualified assertion may be true, it is entirely irrelevant. It is meaningless fluff, meant to make us feel better, and meant to somehow diminish the spectre off anatics rampaging across the globe in the name of Islam.

The fact is that the fanatics rule Islam at this moment in history. It is the fanatics who march. It is the fanatics who wage any one of 50 shooting wars worldwide. It is the fanatics who systematically slaughter Christian or tribal groups throughout Africa and are gradually taking over the entire continent in an Islamic wave.

It is the fanatics who bomb, behead, murder, or honor-kill. It is the fanatics who take over mosque after mosque. It is the fanatics who zealously spread the stoning and hanging of rape victims and homosexuals. It is the fanatics who teach their young to kill and to become suicide bombers. The hard, quantifiable fact is that the peaceful majority, the "vast silent majority," is cowed and extraneous.

Communist Russia was comprised of Russians who just wanted to live inpeace, yet the Russian Communists were responsible for the murder of 40 million people. The peaceful, vast majority were irrelevant.

China'shuge population was peaceful as well, but Chinese Communists managed to kill a staggering 70 million people.

The average Japanese individual prior to World War II was not a war mongering sadist. Yet, Japan murdered and slaughtered itsway across South East Asia in an orgy of killing that included the systematic murder of 12 million Chinese civilians; most killed by sword, shovel, and bayonet.

And who can forget Rwanda , which collapsed into butchery. Could it not be said that the vast majority of Rwandans were "peaceloving"?

History lessons are often incredibly simple and blunt, yet for all our powers of reason, we often miss the most basic and uncomplicated of points: Peace-loving Muslims have been made irrelevant by their silence. Peace-loving Muslims will become our enemy if they don't speak up, because like my friend from Germany , they will awaken one day and find that the fanatics own them, and the end oftheir world will have begun.

Peace-loving Germans, Japanese, Chinese, Russians, Rwandans, Serbs, Afghans, Iraqis, Palestinians, Somalis, Nigerians, Algerians, and many others have died because the peacefulmajority did not speak up until it was too late.

As for us who watch it all unfold, we must pay attention to the only group that counts--the fanatics who threaten our way of life!

From my perspective, most of us fail to link the ideology of Islamism to acts of jihad. Jihadists do what they do because they believe in the call to jihad. Our belief that they will assimilate or become part of the melting pot we call America simply will not happen. It is the opinion of the Thought Dock that to take the attitude of see no jihad, hear no jihad, and speak no jihad, will result with the end of life in America as we know it.

I'm American too?

.
Reprinted article from the Accsociated Press 9/12/2010

NEW YORKNine years of denouncing terrorism, of praying side-by-side with Jews and Christians, of insisting "I'm American, too." None of it could stop a season of hate against Muslims that made for an especially fraught Sept. 11. Now, Muslims are asking why their efforts to be accepted in the United States have been so easily thwarted.

"We have nothing to apologize for, we have nothing to fear, we have nothing to be ashamed of, we have nothing that we're guilty of — but we need to be out there and we need to express this," said Imam Mohammed Ibn Faqih in a sermon at the Islamic Institute of Orange County in Anaheim, Calif., the day before the 9/11 anniversary. "There is no simple way for American Muslims to move forward."

Are you kidding me? Nothing to apologize for? What about your following of a flawed and corrupted Kuran that advocates violence against anyone who does not follow it's doctrine and theology? Nothing to be ashamed for? What about murdering your own people in the name of allah? Nothing to be guilty of? What about the rockets you send into elementary schools killing Jewish children in Israel, or the Twin Towers, or the many other acts of terror around the world?

Well there is a way for American Muslims to move forward! They should denounce their religion and live peacefully with the rest of our world. I just hope they live after doing it though!

We are not at war with Islam?

.
Well, they keep on saying it. "We are not at war with Islam. We are at war with terrorism." Bush said it. The MacMuslim says it. They all say it. They lie.

Well, who then are we at war with? Who then is killing our population? Who then is destroying our way of life? Who then is planning to build a trophy mosque at the base of the Twin Towers which they destroyed and murdered thousands?

Oh... the terrorists. The radicals. The extremists. Well, who are they? They are ALL Muslims. And, Muslims are of Islam. Muslims collect funding at their mosques, declare it tax free and send it to support those that actually strap on their bomb vests to kill our people.

Terrorists are not Christians. They are not Jews. Nor are they Buddhists. Catholics, Mormons, Baptists, and not even the Jehovahs wear bomb vests. Only the Muslims do, and they have been engaged in terrorism since biblical times. And Muslims are Islam.

We ARE at war against Islam. Or at least we should be. Call it what it is.

Burn the Plan?

.
I hoping that all of you have a plan before you do anything. If not, plans are everywhere now days, and most are easily obtained for next to nothing. Diet plans, home building plans, repair manuals, get rich plans, increase your sexual performance; the list goes on and on; some good; many not so.

Now, if you get a plan and introduce it to someone else, that starts a conspiracy. And if the conspiracy is to, for example, rob a bank, and you buy the ski mask as it calls for in Step 1, then you have consummated a conspiracy to commit a felony and you could face the same penalty that applies to bank robbery even though you never got that far...... Get it?

So, who do you blame for that naughty scenario? Is it the one who wrote that evil plan, the one who distributed it, the one who obtained it and shared it with his friend, the one who took the first step to carry out the plan, or the actual plan itself?

You know, Islam has a plan. The Kuran (or is it the Coran, or the Koran, or the Curan? I've seen it spelled many a ways) is their plan. The Muslim "How to do it book." It is the doctrine for the Islamic cause. The theology. The plan. Want to read it? If so, it's free on the Internet. It's OK. Read it if you want. You're not breaking any law if you do.

But.....those that choose to follow the Kuran plan, talk about it, praise it, believe in it, and share the theology with others, then make a move to act on what it says.......are conspirators in this country. You see the Islamic doctrine, the Muslim theology, demands death to anyone that refuses to follow their way. They call it "jihad." And in their own context, that death they cause is murder. And since it is illegal to murder anyone in this country, it is also just as illegal to plan it.

The Muslim worshipers that attend their mosques regularly and support the theology of the Kuran buy tithing to the cause, are nothing more than conspirators to commit murder. ALL Muslims conspire to commit murder, whether they want to be labeled so or not, because they All support jihad in some way or another.

I know, most of you blow that off by excusing most Muslims and placing blame only on the radical ones. You know, the ones that the hijack airplanes, or the ones that strap on their custom fitted bomb vests. But, ALL Muslims are to blame, because ALL Muslims support the theology and doctrine of the Kuran. And, they use the cover of the mosques to conspire against us.

Yes, I know one might argue that not all Catholics believe in birth control pills, but that theology is a far cry from the murder the Muslims advocate. I will say though, that to provide financial support to the Catholic church is to advocate their theology just like the same is true to make a donation to the Republican party. While the GOP is for the most part, might be good, there are plenty of GOP representatives that need to go.

If you don't support everything your group advocates, whether it is the GOP, the Catholics, or Islam, it is time to jump ship and quit supporting a flawed doctrine. You see, it is not the Plan that is the problem. It is the ones who choose the follow the Plan, whether it is religious, political, or other, for the outcome.

The Florida group that plan to burn the Kuran this weekend are doing nothing to curb the violence the doctrine incites. To do so would only serve to fuel the world's most violent people. There are better ways.

Coming to America

.
Well, some of you can't quite understand, or refuse to believe me about how the Muslims are changing the world, including America.

So, for those of you that need a visual aid, or for those of you that won't believe anything unless you read it in print (other than here), here is a clip about what has happened in France. I hope that you take the time to look at it, especially those that rebuked my previous posting about hoe Europe is no longer the same place that most of us immigrated from.

So here it is. Enjoy.

Forgiveness

.
Now, I know that some of you don't like me. But, I'm going to tell you, "Jesus thinks I'm to die for!" Actually, Preach said that in his introduction last Sunday. So, that struck me because I know that Jesus died for the Preach just as he died for me... and you, for that matter.

Along the lines of forgiveness, I was having a conversation about baseball with a friend this past week. And somehow it went toward Little League, where many of my fondest memories lie. The Little League finale was set to be played later that day, and if I'm correct it involved a team from Japan and a team from Honolulu, Hawaii.

Wow! Who would have ever thought that once America's greatest enemy, would be playing baseball in a good will game against a team from the very city they devastated? I think that is incredible. To realize how much forgiveness has been exchanged since December 7, 1942.

For whom have you forgave?

Forecast - RAIN

.
Listen to the rhythm of the falling rain. It's not something that most of us like to do, especially when we realize it is not going to end soon. Dismal days are here and we will be locked into the doldrums for a time to come.

It has been clear on the Central Oregon Coast for the past six weeks. Clear and sunshiny, and not a drop of rain. Don't get much better than that! So, just what am I talking about?

It really is raining but some of you don't even know why things feel wet! I'm talking about the Long Legged MacMuslim and his court. That's pretty dismal!

From the moment he appeared two years before his election, he scared the day light out of me. He was like a turtle found sunning himself on top of a fence post. Turtles can't climb, so who put him there? No one knew, and many didn't care. They only wanted a change. Hitler promised the same.

Within days of his inauguration, his popularity began to fade. The people saw him in his true form. He bows before foreign Muslim kings, and denounces the past policies of America. The same policies that built our country. He releases terrorists so they can fight us once again. De-criminalizes the other terrorist' conduct and moves their trials to a civilian court. He forces his social programs down our throats without much discussion. He raises our taxes and drives business to a stop. More entitlement programs than one could shake a stick at. Injects himself into local issues by ruling that a White cop beat his Black friend and that the Muslims have a religious right to build a mosque anywhere they want so they can continue their plans to destroy us. Who does he think he is? That answer is very scary!

Who voted for him anyway? Not many will now admit that. Perhaps my sister, or your daughter, or your father. Maybe your neighbor or even your dog and some illegal alliens. Someone lifted him to that fencepost!

You can put up your umbrella or stay inside, but it will still be raining. Close your eyes, but you will still hear it. Jump across the puddles, but your feet will still get wet. Bundle up, but it will still be cold outside. Turn on the wipers but your vision will still be blurred. The road might seem shiny and dry, but they are covered, half black, with ice just waiting to ruin you life.

"Rain, rain, won't you go away" are the words to the song that we are all singing now. And, like it always has, the rain will probably stop once again. And I hope that you will be happy.

But what will it be like by then? Although the sun shined again, it was a different world that Moses found when the rains stopped.

And, for us?

The real issue

.
The real battle for religious freedom lurks beneath the Ground Zero mosque controversy. It is very sad that the public debate over it presents the mosque proponents as the partisans of American liberty. From the sharia shouting Imam Feisal Rauf, to the Long Legged MacMuslim, Mayor Bloomberg, and the rest of the Leftists.

When it comes to liberty, no one in this society has been given a wider berth than the Muslims.
Their vise grip on America has been cinched since the fall of Iran in the late 70's by the government, the media, and Hollywood.

They have put a “moderate” label on the Muslim Brotherhood who boldly promise to eliminate Western Civilization from within. American Muslims are not different from other Muslims. Their leadership of the mosques and Islamic centers is foreign. Their leadership is anti-Western and arrogant. In Islam, there is no more worse offense than to befriend the infidels.

I stand in awe by our government who straddle the line between preaching freedom of religion and cheerleading for terrorists.

Mosques in America are controlled by the Muslim Brotherhood and its satellites. During early 70's the Brotherhood began to buy properties across America to build their "Islamic centers,” which became the axis of the Islamist movement in America.

These Islamic centers owe their livelyhood and vision to their Brotherhood, and in return are funded by Middle East countries, particularly the Saudis. Their instructions are to immigrate but don’t integrate, infiltrate but don’t assimilate. And that they have done.

And theses Islamists are the true enemies of religious liberty. Ground Zero mosque proponents whether they realize it or not, are advancing their cause - against the will of the American people, under the guise of “religious freedom.” They know that, in contrast to the innate intolerance of sharia states, the United States opens its arms to people of all faiths, including Muslims.

The Ground Zero mosque controversy is not about religious liberty for Muslims. It is about whether Islam will thrive in the United States, and ultimately devour us.

Beyond the Normal

.
Our world is infatuated with everything which is more than normal. From the fictitious characters like Superman who can leap tall buildings in a single bound, and the Rifleman who could cock and fire his lever action carbine nearly as fast as a Gatling gun, to the real world people like Evil Knievel that could jump the Grand Canyon a rocket powered motorcycle, they all get our attention quick.

Being far beyond normal is to be extreme. Whether a swimmer that dives from a 300 foot cliff, the serial killer that avoids apprehension for years, the aggressive politician that will do anything to get elected, or the religious one that can never stop thumping, they are all extreme. And anyone who advocates, follows, supports, funds, encourages, or tolerates an extreme idea is an extremist himself.

Even though one who attends an extreme ski jumping competition most likely will never try it himself, he too is an extremist because he supports the sport by his mere interest. Or applauding an actor who removes his clothes in public is to support his conduct. And simply joining the Boy Scouts is to advocate their principals even though you might never earn a badge yourself.

And, just the same, to stand back and do nothing about which you dislike is equal to supporting it. Make sense? It doesn't involve me. It is not in my back yard. I'm not Jewish or Black. I don't live there. I don't care what's happening somewhere else. Those attitudes actually aid the goals and intentions of the offenders.

Few cared when the Nazis came for the Jews because they were not Jewish. But what happened when they came for the Poles? What are you going to do when they come to get you?

Now to the point. To be a part of, to me a member, to tolerate, to advocate, to accept anything which is extreme is to be an extremist yourself. Muslim extremists are in our spotlight today. But who is a Muslim extremist? Is it the guy that straps on the bomb to kill the innocent without discrimination during jihad in name of Allah? Or is it the follower who attends the mosque, bows to the Imam, chants for revenge and gives to support the doctrine that encourages the killing of all unbelievers? THEY ARE ONE IN THE SAME. Get it?

Islam. All of Islam. All Muslims. All mosques. They are all the same and are equally responsible for the carnage perpitrated by their doctrine. Whether they actually wear the bomb, or just chip in to buy it. All of Islam is extreme, by our definition, but not to theirs.

Regardless of the organization you attend, or the organization you fund, or the organization you applaud, your mere involvement is to support the ideology and doctrine of that oirganization. Whether you attend at a cathedral, a church, a synagogue, a mosque, a chapel, or a parrish; you support it's doctrine. Because if you didn't you wouldn't be there. And if the doctrine happens to be Islam, it is not extreme, but evil.

So, just like most of us will state there are no good Nazis, if you believe there are good Muslims because they are not all extreme, you are smoking your socks. They are ALL extremely evil by their very ideology and doctrine. Someone once said, "Everything I needed to know about Islam, I learned on 9/11."

Average

.
Who ever came up with the concept of average? Americans have been fascinated with averages the last 50 or so years. So fascinated in fact that we don't even realize what it is all about.

It's all over us. Average height, age, ability, income, intelligence, speed, temperature, eyesight, weight, rainfall, etc, etc. It's about being normal. Where everyone is the same. Where we are encouraged to be alike, and discouraged from being different. In the 50 percentile. Sort of like socialism.

But what if something is better than average? A better than average batting average make millions of dollar difference in a baseball player's salary. A better than average return average makes your stock broker a whiz. If you are taller than average you have a greater chance of dunking a basketball. If you are smarter than average you could be a genius. If you make more money than average you are considered rich. If the area you live is better than average in rainfall and temperature, it might be a paradise. If you drive faster than the average you might get there sooner.

What's the downside? If your test scores are below average you might be a dumb ass. Or if your income is lower than average you might be poor. If you weigh less than most everyone else, you might be too thin. If you die before the average life expectancy, you might have been unhealthy. If it does not rain where you live it could be considered a dust bowl. And if you drive slower that the average you could get a ticket.

So, what is the point with determining averages? Is it because you want to be average? To do what everyone else is doing? To look like they do? To be as smart as everyone else? To have what they have? To never be called fat or skinny? Or not to be called tall or short? Or to not be looked upon as smart or dumb?

Most Americans like just being average. In the middle fifty. Normal range. They never want to stand out in any way. March with the rest of the ducks. Blend into the group. But some, not so. They want to stand out. They prefer to be the life of the party. The drunkest one there. The smartest in the class. The sexiest. The best dresser. Or the fastest in the race.

Just an average Thought from the Dock.

Are we there yet?

.
In Those Days we lived along the "Right Side." The part of our country made famous during the settlement of early America. In the lands where Americans died in battle during the Revolutionary and Civil Wars.

And we had an early 60's vintage Chevrolet station wagon that could seat our family of seven fairly comfortably in the three rows of clear plastic covered seats. It was then that Mom decided to return to her birthplace on the "Left Side" for a visit with her mother and sisters who lived near San Francisco.

Although there was no global warming then, and Al Gore had not yet made millions scaring the heck out of us with his fabrication of an Inconvenient Truth, it was still pretty darn hot that summer. There was no air conditioning then, no movies playing in the headrests, no wireless telephones, no car seats, no slurpies at the gas stations, and no refrigerators with cold sodas in our car. The windows were kept down all day long and canvas water bags were hung on the bumper to provide a cool drink.

So with the luggage and ice chest strapped to the roof rack, which was in turn strapped to the rooftop, and the rear seats folded down to make a common area for the little ones, and the baby nestled between Mom and I on the front bench seat, we set out for the left coast.

Mom drove as long as she could before pulling of the road to nap. She slept sitting up behind the steering wheel as I watched over my siblings. 2800 miles in three days she drove. Few roadside rests and our only stops were to pee in the bushes, for gas, or to get fresh stuff for the sandwiches we made along the way. No motels. No cafes. No sightseeing stops.

We drove and sang songs when the radio lost the stations. We colored and argued amongst ourselves. We asked Mom over and over, "How much longer will it be?" Or, "Are we there yet?" every time she would pull off the highway, usually just to get gas. It was a struggle. For everyone.

But we made it. And Mom announced, "we're here!" And our struggles seemed to have made our trip that much more enjoyable because we wre there. And so it is with life in general. And many before me have attested that one must suffer to achieve salvation. So true. How can you appreciate anything when everything you have has been given to you?

No pain. No gain.

The Difference is

.
Recently our Long Legged Halfblack President made a public comment to the press regarding the Mosque that is planned to be built just a few blocks from Ground Zero, NYC. The White house spokes person, Bill Burton, clarified the statement but emphasized the President stands by it.

I'll reprint it as published so that you won't get confused as to what the President's stance is regarding Muslims. Burton said, "What he said last night, and reaffirmed today, is that if a church, a synagogue, or a Hindu temple can be built on a site, you simply can not deny that right to those who want to build a mosque." Previously, the President had stated that the Muslims have the right to build a mosque near Ground Zero.

I'll give you a moment to digest that.

The President's statement was made to reflect religious freedom in America. I understand the freedom of religion issue, but the President does not rule on law. That's for a judge to decide. He did the same when he injected his position attacking the White cop that arrested his Black Harvard friend. And I say, that he should have kept his halfblack nose out of it.

But, the bigger issue issue here. Churches, synagogues, and Hindu temples do not glorify and encourage murdering innocent people, but mosques do. Religious freedom does not allow churches to do harm to anyone, either within their religion, or outside it. Remember how the government used tanks to enter the compound of Davis Karish when it was believed that he was sexually assaulting women and children in his own church in the name of his religion. How about how the FBI infiltrated the Black Panther Party and essentially shut it down? Or the Nazis? How about the Jewish Defense League. Now, I understand that many of you don't even know about these examples because you were too young, or too busy, or flat didn't care about them when they occurred.

Now, the Muslims are on the rise in America. Over 1200 mosques in 47 States have been built. And another 350 are set to be built by this year's end. Islamic clerics inside these mosques incite their followers. Islam, by it's own doctrine, calls for the murder of anyone that is not of their faith. It has long been known that Islamic clerics recruit people to detonate bombs against innocents. The clerics reward the families of the bombers and assure them that there is no higher honor than to die while committing jihad. And funding for these attacks are provided from the collections of the mosques. So, ALL Muslims are responsible for what occurs in the mosques.

So, that's the difference between the mosques and churches, synagogues, or temples. Religious freedom does NOT guarantee the right of the worshipers to kill people. So, I'll state that Islamic mosques have no right to preach their hatred ANYWHERE in America, and should ALL be destroyed, or kept under guard just like the KKK and Nazi camps. These Muslims present a far worse danger to us than Nazis, JDL, KKK, or the wacky Wacos ever did!

Think I make this up? No way! Government reports support what I said. But why does our government seem to do little about it? Other counties have shut down mosques. Why not we?

And since the Long Legged MacMuslim has once again proclaimed his loyalty to Islam, he too needs to be controlled.

Amen

August 23, 1996

.
Are your calenders marked for the soon approaching anniversary of August 23, 1996? It has been 14 years now, but how many of you even remember? Most of you, but I'm sure not all, can relate to the July 4Th and December 7Th dates in American history, but August 23?

It was August 23, 1996 when a little know camel jockey named Usama bin Laden declared "jihad" against the United States and the rest of the west. We didn't even know how to spell his name then, let alone knew what jihad was. And we laughed about how this rag tag, AK47 carrying Muslim could be any kind of threat to America. What weapons did they have outside of 1950's vintage rocket propelled grenades?

Well, we sure know now don't we? Now that he bought down the Twin Towers; something that no one would have ever imagined. Attacks on our embassies abroad, the near sinking of one of most modern naval warships, biological attacks and bombings against our European friends, and the murders of thousands of infidels.

"Infidels," what's that? Who knew what an infidel was then, or even now for that matter? Who in America really knew what Islam was, or is even now. Well, Islam is a religious doctrine that supports the murdering of infidels through jihad. And the infidel is you! And dying while committing jihad has no greater glory to Allah, the Islamic god. And all Muslims are sworn to Islam. And here we are today.

While the tolerating American views welcomed the Islamic culture, we smiled about the ash spot on their foreheads, their dress, their music, and their dedication to prayer every few hours while bowing and facing east, they flourished. They built thousands of mosques all across our country. They stopped traffic while they bowed in the streets of our big cities to pray, while we fought to remove crosses from our schools and public areas. They abused their American freedoms, while they waged jihad killing both our soldiers and civilians everywhere. We have an American President welcoming the Muslim community, thanking them for their contributions to the world, and protecting their freedom of religion.

And we still don't get it. We don't understand that all Muslims are our enemies. Because all Muslims practice Islam. And the Islamic doctrine promotes the killing of all infidels. And once again, you are the infidel. How then can you support those that are pledged to kill you?

You know, most Americans seem to agree that Nazis are evil. But they only hate Jews and people of color. Muslims on the other hand hate everyone who is not of their religion. Compare those numbers! It's not just the radical followers of Islam, but it is all of Islam because of their doctrine. And that is all Muslims, not just those carrying the RPG's.

Wake up! There is nothing worse that we can do but to do nothing!

The vast majority

.
In the previous post, I discussed how and why America is destined to fall someday, perhaps sooner than our vast majority cares to realize. For a case in point, take a look at Europe. For those of you that immigrated to America from there, or those that have descendants there, or those that travel abroad frequently, you might know what I mean.

Europe is not what it was even 30 years ago. It is not the same region that your parents left. It's not the same place that your relatives struggle to live. Many call it Europia now. It has been overwhelmed by Asian, Middle Eastern, and African influence. They share a common currency and have no control over their borders. Now you might think that is good. You know, diversity I mean. That popular word practiced in America during the last 10 years. It's the right way. Tolerate, accept, teach and promote all people and cultures from all over the world. Sounds good. But it isn't.

Now you might say the vast majority of these people and their cultures are good, and that is good for everyone. But is it? We're likely to agree that the vast majority of Germans were not Nazi's during Hitler's reign, but he took Germany to war and genocide while the vast majority watched. And you would agree the vast majority of the Japanese empire were not savages bent on ruling the world. And you would agree the vast majority of the Chinese do not support communism. And the vast majority of Muslims are not radicals. But the vast majority of the members of these cultures are acountable for the actions of all.

Although these cultures have resulted in the murders of billions of innocent people through out history, we in America accept these cultures even though many of them are Hell bent on destroying our way of life.

And, in particular, I'm talking about Muslims. Not the vast majority of Muslims, but all Muslims. All Muslims even though there is only a small percent of them that wear suicide vests. All Muslims, because all Muslims believe that the "Infidels" (that mean us) are their enemies, and should be killed at every opportunity. All Muslims because they do nothing to stop the radicals from wearing their bomb vests. All Muslims because they support and fund jihad through their mosques. Just like all Germans were responsable for the atrocities of the Nazis.

So, even though the vast majority of these people might not support their culture any longer, they do nothing to stop the carnage their culture creates. So even though the vast majority of Americans are ignorant about what is happening to America, they too can not be excused.

So, I make a plea to all Americans. Stop accepting. Stop tolerating. Stop welcoming. Stop embracing. Stop being politically correct. Stop stepping aside to let other cultures thrive. Stop ignoring the evil ways of these cultures. Stop allowing mosques to be built so that they can then fund their jihad. Quit looking the other way like the vast majority of Germans did. And stop teaching these principles to your children.

In Thirty years, Europe has all but been conquered by Muslims. And they have been already working their strategy in America for 10 years. They are applying their culture and beliefs as representatives in our government, as teachers in our schools and universities, and as judges in our courts because the vast majority of Americans allow it. The vast majority of the Muslims need to be held accountable for all Muslims.

Thirty years is not that far away. For me, the fight here will likely be over by then. But for my grandchildren.....
.
