Being more pacific

.
Geez, the weather around our country has sure been nasty as of late. From the huge fires in Texas, to the floods all along the Mississippi River, to the tornados through out the midwest. My heart goes out to all whom have suffered.

But here in the Pacific Northwest, things are quite normal. And that means rain, which makes things green. Even the soles of your feet turn green with the dreaded moldy grunge. But that clears up nicely with a daily soak in a warm bleach solution while you tune into the evening Fox News. Just kidding. Not about Fox, but the soak.

To be more specific, I love the Pacific. Even though our rainfall totals exceed most any other place in America, we do have many georgeous days, and with few floods and such. And the time of year is here that the sunshine will overcome the clouds most of the time.

There will be a few days when one might sweat a bit, especially while kayaking, or hiking a trail to a favorite fishing spot. But you can cool off with a drive on the beach. Notice I said, "on?" I mean that. Not along side, on a highway, but right "on" the sand. How cool is that?

Small town parades and festivals. RV-ing, Chilli cookoffs, country music jams, chainsaw carving contests, boat races, bicycling, Harley rides, and wine tastings will consume most every available moment of my time.

Come, visit us, and see for yourself!
