Destined

.
I am by no means a world history expert, but probably like you, I have a general understanding of the past. The difference is though, that I know that America will follow every other world power in it's rise and to it's fall. I think we all can see it coming, but most of us don't really believe it will someday happen.

From the earliest times of recorded history, various countries or empires have come to power, then suddenly fall. Some have vanished completely while others still exist but have only a claim to their fame.

Egyptians, Persians, Asians, Europeans, Middle Easterners, and Africans all have had a piece of the pie, but lost it. Some have regained it, while others collapsed into the dust. Israel, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Russia, England, China, Turkey, and Japan have all risen, and fallen in modern times. All of which reigned only for a few hundred years. Some collapsed suddenly, others more gradually, but all have failed eventually.

Countries and empires fall from power, usually from very similar reasons. Whether they were ruled by monarchs, dictators, elected officials, or whether they were comminist, socialist, democracies, or republics, they failed. Their people rebelled over taxes and the wealth acquired by their rulers. They fall because their population divides itself by religion, culture, language, race, and class.

So what is destined for America? We have been around only a few hundred years, risen to a world power with the last 80, reached our good time during the last 40, and are beginning our slide during the last 20. It's not that America will be conquered by some foreign invader, but more likely will be attacked from within. And the evidence seems to reflect that has all ready begun.

Our nation is being divided by declining morals, ethics, languages, cultures, and religious extremists. Each out to gain total control. Uncontrolled immigration, exploitations of our constitutionally guaranteed freedoms, and greed are driving America deeper into destruction.

The question, "How much longer will we be America?" Will the collapse be within my lifetime, my grand children's, or their children? I don't know. But things certainly can not sustain themselves as they are. So, what should we do? Just let it be? Sing songs and sit back as life as we know it crumbles before our eyes? Who really cares? You? Or do you have the blinders on and refuse to believe our destiny?

Even the Thought Dock is nearly exhausted and will someday crumble, only to be quietly consumed by the waters beneath.

Enjoy your weekend and welcome back to those that have been gone.
