Most of you know my stance on being truthful. After all, I've blogged about it many times in the past, and some of you have even challenged my stance on the issue. So, why then do I keep harping on ethics? Well, I'll tell you. It's because you guys just don't get it. Well most of you anyway, that is.
As I've said many times in the past, "A lie from a person that we hold in a position of trust is truly disgusting." Where it be a teacher, preacher, cop, or political leader, is really troubling to me. But you guys, well most of you, consistently blow it off and swallow his explanation.
Billy lied when he denied that he had sex with Monica. Yet when Monica produced the dress that she was wearing when he blew an ounce of steaming semen onto the collar, Billy explained that he didn't consider that sex. And you guys, well most of you, accepted that. And, I don't get that!
Now, we have the Senator Sestak case where the White House (that means the MacMuslim) promises Sestak a job if he withdraws from an election so that the Obama favorite would win. Bribery? But Holder explained that his investigation has concluded that there was no evidence to support the allegation ever occurred. But Sestak did it, he admitted it, but Holderr said it never happened. And, you guys, well most of you, seem to not care because that conduct is quite normal in politics. And, I don't get that!
So, this Blumenthal dude tells his crowds, several times, that he served proudly in Vietnam. Now, he explains that he "mis-spoke" about his military service, and was never really in Vietnam, but somehow thought that he was. He made those campain statements because he believed that would increase his popularity in the election. Mis-spoke? What is that? And, you guys, well most of you anyway, seem to accept it. And, I don't get that!
Trust and Obey, for there is no other way. So, am I so alone in my beliefs? Perhaps I am. And, I don't get that!

so should we be concerned with those that lie or those that don't validate what is being said or those who really don't give a rat's a**?

Just because we aren't as vocal about it as you are doesn't mean we accept it. At least not all of us.
ReplyDeleteOn a similar note, I was struck last week by the British press's reports of Fergie selling time and access to her ex-hubba for money. In America we would show the undercover tapes and report on what she said. In the British version, however, the reporter had no problem calling it what it was: lies. They said repeatedly, "Again the princess lied when..."
But it's not PC here to call people out on anything they do wrong. We're considered judgmental, intolerant, fanatical, phobic (still don't get that one personally), etc.
(It's almost 2AM and I can't sleep, so here I am... reading and commenting on your blog... hahaha Surely all the political talk will help me turn off my brain, eh? ;) )
