Recently I was reading a blog where the author was complaining about working very hard to eliminate debt and reduce spending only to learn that his/her tax liability was greater than it ever had been in the past.
Someone left a simple, but honest comment on the blog stating the he/she was unable to share sympathy with the author because they received nearly 9k in tax refund.
Now, I suspect that to obtain a refund so large the commenter probably was eligible for some government stimulus offerings (freebie) and may have bought a new car or a home. Don't get me wrong, I, not attacking the commenter because he/she was only taking from what the government (we) offered.
But it just goes to sledge hammer home my points in previous posts. That "Nothing is for free." Some of us (but growing fewer by the day) have to pay for those freebies. "No one" (and growing more by the day) can resist accepting something that is free to them. That's a given. But, for those that are paying the taxes, get nothing for free, and it is not fun.
So, as the numbers of those getting the freebies grow, the more they will overwhelm the minority and demand more from those that have more. That's socialism. Unless this country changes course quickly, it will implode upon itself. America can not sustain this ideology.
I am not "Speaking Words of Wisdom" and we should not just "Let it Be." I am though, screaming my Thoughts from the Dock.

stop screaming. its unbecoming, especially to the criminally insane.
ReplyDeletethe point of the blog i posted after the post-tax depression i was fighting blog was to say some get it from the gov. some get it from family. some cheat to get it. but most of us get it. and most of us can't do it on our own.
stimulus, incentives, freebies, inheritances, whatever you want to call them do bolster the economy and make available to most an opportunity they could not afford otherwise.
it is not all coming from your pocket ~ it just feels that way
Geo-Well I never got any freebie. No one helped me buy a home, a car, or college. Not the government. Not my parents, brothers or sisters. Not an inheritance. There were no entitlements for me. What I have, I earned. I've always paid taxes since the day I began working at age 15, yet have not received any entitlement. And, that's why I am angry. I'm not here to support you or anyone else, unless I choose to do so. And, I don't expect anyone to help me either. Even a blind man knows when he is walking in sunshine. You can see, yet still you are blind.
ReplyDeletethat commentor would also like to say:
ReplyDeletework smarter, not harder.
i put myself through school, including both undergraduate and graduate, during which time i even did my own homework!
i got my job myself, not through any connections. and when i pay taxes, i single, so a LOT of moolah gets taken out. the only deductions i have are those the offerings i make to church.
i saved for the my down payment of my home, which i just happened to purchase at "the right time".
you're not the only one who works. i think you just work harder, when you could be working smarter.
