.
So, it is not only the new year, but also a new decade. Now, what do we do?
Well, I'll tell you what I'll be doing these next few days.
I'll change the batteries in my programmable thermostats. I'll replace the water filter in the refrigerator. I'll renew the batteries in the smoke detectors in the house and in the Wheeled Manor. I'll put fresh gasoline in the emergency generator. I'll add septic treatment to the system. I'll have the automatic transmission fluid changed in our cars that are over 10 years old. I'll gather up usable, but no longer used items in our home to give to charity. I'll designate a file for tax stuff that will be coming in the mail. I'll service the home heating/air conditioning unit. I'll lubricate the door hinges of both my cars and home. I'll blow out the dust from inside my computer. I'll get a new fishing license. I'll reset the yearly data on my home weather station. I'll take down the Christmas decorations. I've already watched the Rose Bowl parade and game. I'll replace the head on my toothbrush. I'll log the Christmas cards I get by mail. I'll begin my Bible study plan. I'll change the batteries in the clocks. I'll shop for a new TV. I'll re-examine my goals, scratch some, adjust others, and create some new ones. And, I'll begin a new chapter in my life.
What about you?
